I am not a bodybuilder or a pro fitness. I am just a normal guy with IT job going to the gym 4 times a week just to feel and look good and the information from these videos are super helpful. I find Fouads videos as one of the best. No bs, just as it is. The ethics, tips and dedication behind it is just amazing. Man, you may not realize it but your views and approaches on doing things either 100% or not at all affects more people than you think. My gf is running her own business and finds your "reality check" posts very appealing and motivating as she can realize that every person can have downtimes, re-focus etc. and no matter what sports or business you're doing, the work ethics, dedication and focus must be there. I hope and wish you to hit the pro stage for the competitions again and smash it because you deserve that and also you can/will achieve that.

Fouad, I've been saying that for years about not caring if you eat the same thing every day, and about taste, etc. You're in this lifestyle to get the maximum out of your food from your workouts. Jay said it best in one of the old videos when he was getting ready for an Olympia back in the day. He said that as a bodybuilder, especially during pre-contest prep, you 'eat like a dog' lol. You know, in the sense that we feed dogs basically the same thing each and every day with no variation. When he said that, it stuck in my head and I never forgot it.

Request : When you do the re-feed video, if you can talk about the calories on the re-feed day vs. calories on your cutting days and the difference between the two (if any). I see some BB'ers go a lot higher calories on re-feed day and wondering how this would effect progress of the cut. Thanks Hoss, keep killing the youtube game.

I've subbed to very few channels over my 15 years of KZbin lurking, but you have definitely earned this one. As someone who spent 30 years as a scrawny nerd who is just getting into fitness/lifting at 31 and always struggled to gain any mass, this channel has had the most easily digestible, concise, and well presented info I've found in the last year since I started researching and lifting. You've helped me dispel myths and confirm conclusions I have come to over the last year, specifically about dietary issues (eating the same shit every day, worrying mostly about macros and not excluding specific foods for bullshit reasons, explaining why/when to eat what different types of food) Keep it up man, I'll be following your vids from now on.

Thx Fouad, great job on the education. In even more simplistic terms which may help you with your clients, is that if they cut 500 calories per day from their current daily eating which is maintaining their current bodyweight and composition (especially from the sugars and/or carbs), they should come close to dropping close to 1 lbs per week because there are 3500 calories in 1 lbs of fat. Maybe too simplistic but at the end of the day, eating below your daily maintenance caloric intake from the sugars/carbs will undoubtedly result in fat lose. Cuz I'm sure many of your clients are not 'hardcore bodybuilders ' but rather people who train semi consistently but want some form of results. Anyway, great video, great education, keep up the great work. Glad you're a fellow Canuck!
