You can throw Pikmin from the corner of the kitchen island to the corner of the freezer and then do some call and dismiss shenanigans to get the Pikmin closer to the Onion - this allows you to entirely skip getting the Scorch Guard and going through the cave and get the Ice Onion without going through all that trouble.

They did such a good job of giving you enough types of pikmin from caves that getting any onions past the first three felt less like an upgrade and more like I could be more reckless about them dying

Not really there is only like one cave with whites and like 1 or 2 with wings. Rocks and purples fair a bit better. But since they didnt design pretty much any of the first 4 areas to use any type outside of the 3 recommended u basically never need any outside of the main 3 and ice. The pacing is terrible with the upgrades and other onions they come way too late and take too long to get

Fun fact you can get the blue onion with NO blue pikmin, only 30 pikmin, and no doggy paddle 1. Farm and freeze the lake with ice pikmin from last frost cavern 2. Have oatchi build the climbing wall 3. Climb up with the ice pikmin (the little spot on the bottom keeps oatchi safe) 4. Kill the blow hog, dig up the onion, and bring it to the LOWER area (not the lake because then it would be submerged) 5. Ram it with oatchi to the base area after refreezing the lake and after it’s on shore whistle the ice pikmin back and have them carry it back 6. You have blue pikmin before finding the wild ones yayyyyy

You can save time by using pebble pitcher to turn on the fan by pressing the button down with PikPik carrots. No scorch guard needed.

A glitch happened to me where I had the scorch guard for oachti in the demo version and transferred data to the full version and oachti's scorch guard didn't work anymore. Same happened with the charging horn

As much as I love the pikmin series one thing rhat really annoys me (in every game except the first one) is the onions. Why is there either no onion for the newest pikmins introduced or there is one but at the end of the game? Like in pikmin 2 there was no onion for purple or white pikmin and in pikmin 3 there were non for pink or rock pikmin. This time around EVERY pikmin species gets it‘s one onion BUT the purple and white onions are only available after the first time the credits rolled and are locked behind a new dungeon with 4 VERY HARD levels of the new minigame. The oink onion is also lovated in the last area. Why? I really don‘t understand those choices and it is really frustrating to me… am I the only one? 🤷‍♂️

for pikmin 2, the onions were separated still, it would have had been REALLY busy to have 5 onion types all spaced out, and ultimately worse overall, and it was the second game in the franchise so they probably wanted to innovate as much as possible, and then decided to have more than one way to get pikmin, overall developing the lore. as for pikmin 3, there absolutely was rock and flying onions, rock was pretty early in the game, and the flying one was mid game, don't know where you got that from lmfao.

2 did what 2 did. Be really weird. 3 had all 5 and it went from Red, Rock, Yellow, Winged and then Blue. And for 4, its wasn't very good with balancing but I think it did all it could. Mostly because blues actually had a purpose rather than being outclassed by Wings in every way.

GameXplain if you guys accept critisism, showing off natural progression in a game in my opinion makes for very cheap short. Tips like the best use of Ice pikmin, items or stategy tips are much better imo.
