I agree with Lucas. The sooner I can build my foundation on a great backswing, the sooner I can move forward towards better, consistent swings. Thanks Larry

l always try to duck my trail elbow in but l find more freedom in my swing with greater club head speed having my trail arm pushing/extending out from my body on my back swing l feel good with it and this is creating a lot of torque that releases with like an effortless swing but with speed/power. Thank you.

Man...the swing is explained so clearly for me: the mechanics and the athleticism make a lot of sense here.

Nice tip and drill, its actually something that I struggle with knowing where to keep the trail elbow.

Great lesson Larry I’m thinking achieving proper wrist angles I.e bowed wrist at the top of the backswing helps get the arms higher just a small observation love your thoughtful content best wishes Joe

Larry, loving your videos; will be trying out some of your drills this winter. How does this video relate to the “feeling” of hands low when you mention you want height? Which one should I feel? Low hands or height/depth?

Depends on what you struggle with =)

Can we get a video and tips/drills for a more Neutral swing path.. without a monitor? Please

Hi Larry, Could pushing up and back with your trail arm help with a steep or over the top downswing because instead of a passive backswing where you then fire the trail arm forward, you now have pressure going in the opposite direction?

I'm not sure what you are trying to say =P

Great video! I've been binge watching your videos like netflix. It's been quite an adjustment but I'm making better contact. Would you say the turn/hip initiates the first movement of the backswing if your hands are dangling? Or is it both the arms and hips as the first movement?

Depends on player what they need to prioritize =)

Fantastic explanation. I’m guilty of getting the elbow behind from time to time. Will definitely add this one to the library to refer to. Thanks again LC.

Your backswing looks similar to that taught by the late Mike Austin, famous for his length having the record for the longest drive ever in competition

I can’t physically keep my elbow down it’s in line with body angle at top .
@JH-xs3ys3 жыл бұрын
Great video Larry. Because you stress the width of the swing at the top and also because camera angles aren't in 3 d, I always thought you were advocating a flying right elbow. I now realise you don't at all.
@b2bbogey7355 жыл бұрын
A swimpad would solve that elbow distance.
