How to Get Lift Bites on the Waggler Float - Hit More Bites! In this video I went out for some fun Waggler Fishing at my local pond. I also have a new camera with plenty of zoom on it, so I decided to show you how to get better bite detection using a Telltale Shot.
The telltale shot is a very small shot positioned approximately 3 to 4 inches or 75 to 100mm from the hook. As soon as the fish picks up the bait, the float lifts before either staying high up or sliding away.
This method is particularly useful for shy biting fish who pick up the bait but don’t move away with it. Crucian carp, goldfish, bream, tench and roach all respond to this method so it is really useful.
