I am in MARYLAND do you have information on how to apply for COC please for my state am I supposed to go to the HUD office and do they close and open their list ? My situation is such a headache for me right now . I was selected for a voucher through HOC however my housing specialist denied me saying that im not homeless and I dont have a disability. Which he lied about because I gave him documentation and i was homeless and still am. I was living in an airbnb room not on a lease homeless no job escaping from an abusive home. I ended up getting kicked out of that place now im in a shelter and I need help. I did go back and update my HOC application so I guess which ever comes first. So thank you much for talking about COC im going to do research on this cause Its hard for me to make decision now since I been through so much and living in this shelter has taen a toll on me God bless you for all you do

Hello Jay, I am beyond grateful to have found your channel. You are truly a blessing. Coming across these videos made me want to cry from joy because they are so informative and helpful. I've been on the section 8 waiting list in California for 10 years. I had applied for low income housing and section 8 at the same time. My low income housing came through first after 4 years on the waiting list. I was offered an apartment and I took it, I lived in low income housing for 5 years before I decided to leave the program. I left on good terms, I had excellent rental history within my 5 year stay and no issues with any of my inspections. The manager didn't want me to leave but at the time It seemed like my only option. Now I'm struggling to figure out what my options are. I'm homeless with 2 children and I need housing fast. I'm just unsure how or where to start since I'm already on the section 8 waiting list and I've already lived in low income public housing in the past. Me and my kids are still in the system, we receive food stamps, cash aid and medical. Can you guide me in the right direction? I truly appreciate your help.

Florida uses the CES system its basically a COC .I would study this manual and aim to get enough points to qualify for Permanent Support Housing so you never pay rent again. Focus your answers on being homeless for 3 years straight and being blind.Regular HUD housing, takes time so I'm not suggesting that avenue till you try PSH first. Only if your planning on moving and making both states aware of your plans otherwise its crime and they will ban offenders in all 50 states if they find out.I hope this helps.

Hello.I'm still trying to locate the coc application.but my county had a section 8 waiting list opening.I made it be for the deadline and got my name on list.they said it's a lottery drawing and I get a number I attached the letter from housing worker stating I'm in a homeless situation to the application my question is..is there anyway to speed this up.or move to the top of the list considering my situation

There are 2 things you can do at the same time . 1 apply at a COC hudhousing.weebly.com/coc-manuals.html ,here's the info on that , the process is much quicker than applying at HUD.Once you have applied at COC then move on to Applying at HUD and here the inside information on that. hudhousing.weebly.com/hud-manuals.html .These manuals are extreme hard to get because they tell you ,how they rank you and how you can get to the top of the waiting list on your first try.
