I recently had the spirit of heaviness and I knew it felt unusual I lost all interest in everything except sitting and staring at the television, my body ached the fatigue was unimaginable exhausting and unexplainable. I was led to a pastor video I follow about the spirit of backwardness. I am now much better I have resumed all my health care routine. I admit I still have isolated myself and remain closed off to people and convos. only looking forward to post of inspirational content creators I follow like yourself. GURL! Your video hit ALL the places it should have. You began and ended with JESUS! 🙌🏾 Lately, I have been going through the STORM. I feel like giving up. I lost my Mom. She was my 2nd rock. Jesus is my 1st and forever. I am going through some things that ONLY Jesus can fix. I have NO CLUE how. Sometimes I want to commit suicide, but I ❤Jesus! The LAST thing my Mom told me is... I usually don't comment on videos because I'm very private. But this video, and the fact that it's coming from a sister in Christ, is so helpful. I have been going through a season--that I don't want to name depression (because I don't want it to think it has power over me, or give it any power--I'm weak, but I'm trying to watch what I say still)... Anyhow, back to what I was saying...My birthday was this month, and I don't know WHERE it came from, but when I tell you a FLOOD of depressive warfare has been after me--it's not been good at all. I actually wanted to not be here anymore (like actually was thinking about doing something about it, too). The desire to take my life has been a gazillion out of 10, but then I remember my AMAZING family, and church family--my mom had brought up to me "What message would you be sending?" Not coming from a place of judgement at all, but stern love. Something I need right now. I haven't wanted to sing, laugh, hear music, or really anything. The only thing (as silly as it might sound) that I like doing right now is cooking and taking hot showers. For some reason those 2 things get me out of bed everyday. Not my job, not my car note. But food and a shower (very weird). I feel very vulnerable, but maybe this state could help someone else who's hesitating writing or may feel the same way as me. The thing that has begun to (because I'm currently still battling through it (victoriously I'm declaring)) help me is tough love. It may not work for everyone, but if you're open to hearing it: WE HAVE WORK TO DO SAINTS. PRAY, PRAY, PRAY. I considered my insecurities as I write this, being female, black, etc. all the things. But God made me--and you--on purpose. And might I add, if he wanted us dead, we would be lol. Just some things I'm having to remind myself even now. Bible scripture that has helped me (and cut me to my core by encouraging me to keep living): Psalm 27:13-14 KJV (read whatever version the Holy Spirit leads you to read) (13) I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. (14) Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord. God bless you brothers and sisters, and may we bless one another by bearing the fruit of the Spirit. Let's love on one another and keep each other accountable, even in spirit--we are connected family! Prayer for those battling any sadness/grief/depression/non-aliving thoughts: Dear Heavenly Father, MOVE in my brother or sister. Stir their heart and cause it to beat again. Breathe new life into the dry bones in their soul. Restore what you desire. Remove what's not like you. Lead them to repentance and teach them your paths. Holy Spirit, please comfort them. Remind them, that they are not forgotten. Love on them. In Jesus' name, amen. I know this is verryyyyy long, hahaha but I bless God for even beginning to lift this burden off of me! It's truly a blessing and I had to share what he has done for me! God bless you guys!
