Actually a technique introduced to Queen by Brian May, used most notably in the harmonies of the Killer Queen guitar solo. He says he nicked the idea from old time jazz bands like The Temperance Seven.

Sweet used this in the early-mid 70s. Check the pre-chorus for Fox On The Run or in Lies In Your Eyes. The singers had different ranges, so those harmonies became their trademark, and they often did this with Andy Scott on top in the sky there. Its a cool technique!

VERY good call! I love Fox on the Run. Same technique only slower.

@@BobbyHuff it’s also a hell of a tune from two albums earlier than this. I recommend playing the version for the Deep Cuts compilation because on the Queen II album it segues into the next track and many sources, including the official Queen “lyric video” just stop it dead without resolving

Very cool trick and I've not seen anyone discuss this before. It's one of those things you hear but don't really think about in depth because of the overall impact. I could easily see this used in other genres too. Or with instruments? Hmm. 🤔. Another good one here. Cheers. 👍

“Hey Mr. Sandman? … Yes??” Another thing you could do, having done those harmonies, is to do a “fan pan” as opposed to hard Left & Right.

Thank you doctor. I'm a vocalist myself. That's very interesting to know. I just thought it was like an acapella of three separate people, excuse me if I use the word acapella incorrectly but you know what I mean I was wondering if you could recommend a headset microphone for performing and possibly some recording of course with a transmitter receiver without having to sell my house?

That pose Freddy M does on the cover is called "the sign of osiris risen". It's used in freemasonry, ordo templi orientis, thelema, etc. Lots of luciferian celebs do it. Just like the one-eye symbolism (eye of horus). Pay attention to it, it'll tell you something about the music industry.

Excellent! Just for interest, the last I heard was Queen had sold all the rights to their music. So I don’t think Brian will be concerned about copyright infringements anymore?
@BobbyHuff4 ай бұрын
Not sure. Depends if he sold it all or just part. Im also not willing to test the waters with the new owners as they have over a billion dollars invested and probably want to get every bit of it and more back. Ha!
