I love how you don’t talk about “getting rid” of stuff, you say you are going to “bless someone “ with it. That is such a positive slant it makes me want to bless someone with my extra items. With “getting rid” of stuff, I feel like I’m just throwing it away... then I’d rather keep it 🙄 And your generous offer of donating to a very dear organization actually makes me want to show off my haul. Thank you, and God bless you and your wonderful family (I would never be able to have my kids “get rid” of stuff, but they just might want to “bless someone” with some things!

FicGhostWriter, I completely agree. We have a Savers iny area and I feel better donating to them than Goodwill because they take everything and have really good prices for those buying at the store. Now I have something better to say to those I help instead of "getting rid of stuff" lol

I'm so moved that you chose that foundation, after my mom committed suicide I got saved. Literally barely knew what making Jesus my Lord and Savior actually was! Now never better walking with the Lord and seeing this blessed me so much! AFSP doesn't get as much credit as other organizations, I became part of them when I was 16 and now am 24! So thankful for all you do, may the Lord bless you and your household ♥️

yeyiisz sorry for your loss,did you know that God made a promise that will take place in the near future, "Jesus said at John 5:28.29, Do not be amazed at this for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practice vile things to a resurrection of judgement". we're leaving in critical times but God has a time table in which he will step in and and get rid of all the bad things That are happening

I have attempted before to take my own life and I know first hand what a blessing it was to have someone by my side and help me through the hardest years of my life. You are amazing and I know exactly why you picked that to donate to.. I wish I could donate clothes but I have nothing to give I just got rid of so much. Instead, I will be donating to the suicide awareness and prevention. You are an amazing person, never forget that. And to anyone going through a hard time please know I am always here to talk! We need to make mental illness not a taboo topic. I suffer first hand from BPD and it has been 12 years of dealing with depression on and off.. it's not easy and I know now I am not alone. Thank you for one more video to motivate me. You're such a great example and great model to many of us. You inspired me to start decluttering and organizing my home last year in May and a year later many of the spaces I have organised are still tidy! I love that your videos are so short and to the point, you don't spend 5 minutes in an intro to what you will do ;) lol I've sent your videos to so many of my friends so they can get inspired as well :) Recently I've been very busy with my son's school PTA that I've made it a a goal to organize and declutter on Fridays. Two of my friends have asked me for help in their homes, and they're so amazed at all the space they gain by keeping things organized and departed into categories. We started alternating our Fridays so we can go to each other's homes and do more as a group. I always look forward to Fridays now!! lol What fills me with joy besides helping my friends, is that now they are started to organize other parts of their homes without my help. :) I always look forward to your videos so I can get more inspiration and ideas :) keep them coming please!! 😘😘😘

We recently went thru every single piece of everything in our home, to get it ready to put on the market. It feels amazing to live in our home now. Every inch is clutter free. There were many trips to and some large pick ups from the Salvation Army thrift store over the last 8 months. And I painted the entire inside bright white. Every room is so clean and fresh. And cleaning is so easy now!

it really is purging and cleansing. i have always saved everything, especially stuff from my childhood and it just got ridiculous. once i finally bit the bullet and started getting rid of stuff, i felt like my whole soul had just taken a sun shower! i sell my stuff now and the stuff that i can't then yes i donate it. since i have found you Kathryn, i want clean and uncluttered and organized and continue the big task. it really is true what they say about clean and organized space, organized and clear mind. it just feels so much better!
@lisacooper99226 жыл бұрын
I just adore you and your spirit! I love your advice on the REASONS why we should all declutter and purge. My kids are grown now and I sure wish I had this mindset when they were your kids' age. Your stats on the amount of toys children in the US have is amazing! I am fortunate that my daughter is very mindful of living with what you need and not just alot of stuff. I see now how my 3 children had soooo much stuff! I am a huge donater and love blessing others with what I don't need anymore. Now, it's off to tackle my overly indulgent makeup drawers and cabinets and throw most all of it away! Have a blessed day!

I've been stuck, wanting to tackle the hidden mess, but somewhat overwhelmed. This post has motivated me to start the process. My home looks tidy, but the off season closet is bulging with stuff we don't wear anymore and stuff my girls wore (they are in their 30's now!) and the unfinished area of the basement has stuff from clearing out my husband's parents' home last year! Time to get at it. Loved the statement you made that we shouldn't hang on to our "mistakes"! This is your best decluttering video yet, or maybe I'm just ready to purge!
