FIX: I also have an 1.21 Nitrado Server and had issues with the 1.21 optifine. You can just install a 1.21.1 profile with optifine minimap etc. and u still can join on your 1.21 server.

check that the versions match for everything, if they do and it still doesn't work make sure you have java installed on your pc. mine all matched but i realized i didn't have java installed and it worked afterwards.

Ensure that you have the latest version of "Java" installed. Do not open/run optifine. Simply click and drag optifine into the "mods" folder as shown in the video.

if you are still stuck, it is because you dont have java installed, therefore the file takes you straight to internet explorer. its sad no one else was able to help with this. "change browser to chrome" what horrible advice

Remove any additional mod for shaders, like Rubidium. You can also try removing the mods one by one, to confirm which one is not working with Optifine.
