Throw in a few blueprints and you basically have a game!

How are you connecting to your headset for UE4 ? I see a SteamVR window ... Whats the setup to get that part working please ? Just bought my Oculus Rift and from what I can tell, I can connect to SteamVR if my Oculus software is also running .... I am not too familiar with the handshaking between the software yet. Somehow I was in UE4 through a virtual desktop connection inside of the Oculus software ... but everything was pixelated and I do not believe it was the correct approach. I appreciate the help ... I will SUB as a preliminary thank you.

I mostly use Oculus now, but I use Steam VR for many applications and development for Oculus. They are compatible and Oculus has done good job supporting SteamVR. My recollection is first install Oculus software and get Oculus working without Steam. If Steam and SteamVR are not installed, install those Then I believe their may be a SteamVR for Oculus driver or library needed. This part is fuzzy, although I've done it at least 6 times but also done Windows MR so can't recall. With that you should be able to run SteamVR with Oculus. Unreal will detect this and launch SteamVR when you play the level

How do you select VR Mode in UE 4.23.1 and above? It's not on the menu. :/

Did this video using HTC Vive and their controllers. Using Oculus should work just the same using Steam. The controllers will map just fine

My suggestion is HTC Vive. It's also 6 degrees using outside in tracking, which is best in class tracking. Stream VR also supported by default in UE

WHY IS THERE A SELECTION OUTLINE ON OBJECTS IN ONLY ONE EYE?!?! This is impossible to work with. It's like being stabbed in the eye with a number 2 pencil while you try to position an object. Why oh why....

How weird. That wasn't my experience. But I have heard of that happening to some headsets and VR apps, where GUI ends up in one eye only. I think it might be a configuration so HUD like elements don't go double vision as you look at something in the distance

@@BobDuffy I got it to work by unchecking "mirrored instancing". There's a performance hit but until they check my bug report it will do. Thanks for the reply!

None of the physics work, its just kinematic

My recollection is in this sample level, the white objects are kinematic. The blue objects have physics. You should be able to pick up the blue cubes and toss them with physics
