Great job on the weight loss. That’s a huge step. I lost 70 lbs in 2019 doing something similar, and got a new lease on life. Keep at the good work. Thanks for saying that Rolex is Toyota. I think so as well, but I love it for exactly that reason. I’m willing to pay retail for the robust and accurate in house movements and classic designs. I have driven Toyota for two decades and will probably do the same for life. I also use an hP12c calculator and IBM model M keyboard for similar reasons. Again, keep up the good work. Good tips Fed. Agree with most of what you offered. Tried to buy a watch from an ebay seller a few months ago. Watch was limited to 100 and very rarely see them offered. Dealer was obscenely obnoxious. Would not negotiate even though he had a make an offer button. He bought the watch on ebay, so i knew what he paid. I was making a more then fair offer, and his profit was 25% at my offer, plus he was holding back items that came with the original set. I tried. After a week he messaged me to make a higher offer and he "might" entertain. Just so happens another one came up from a local dealer, and i scored it for less than my offer to him, plus local seller included all the items from the original set. 2 months later he still has it up for sale. Advice to sellers....Treat your customers with respect.

I just seem to take his likes of somethings, boots, guns, cars and watches and turn them into partial addictions. I have a couple of questions for dressy type watches. Jaeger-LeCoultre or the Cellini? I have the Rolex Daytona and Pepsi (Steel versions) but really like the Tudor Chronograph and Pepsi. My dilemma, Tudor Pepsi or Tudor Panda (Cream) or save the money and get the Pepsi and buy a Hamilton Intramatic Panda also? I will be in Miami at the end of the month. Is Delray watch a brick and mortar store I can visit or is it strictly an online store? Thanks in advance for your help in feeding my watch addiction. Carlos

The one thing I disagree with is and agree with is the wait to negotiate. But I think you just didn't explain these things. Yeah don't REALLY negotiate, but if you want to get a ball park...hey what kinda discount can you do...you should do that. Then when you come back you can START there and you're both cool with that. If they want to offer you "hey we can do 20% vs 10%", well that's huge and it's their way to get you back in. And i've done this and gotten more than they said, but we were in a very friendly. So there's a hybrid imo.

What ever happened to the good old days. It used to be that wherever I lived, in Canada or Florida, each time a new luxury watch was introduced, by Omega or other brands, I would check the MSRP to know how much I would be spending. Then I would head over to a dealer, cash in hand, including the tax amount that I estimated, and ask the shop owner for the watch. Each and EVERY time, the owner would refuse the cash and only take 50%. I have NEVER paid full price for a brand new luxury watch. I am so impressed with this custom that should I ever get into the business of selling luxury watches I will treat those customers as I have been treated.

I don't understand why anyone would buy from a dealer on chrono24/ebay. To me, the whole point of buying from an established dealer is trust. If you don't trust the dealer, you may as well buy from established users on Reddit (which I still standby, and if we're being super honest about how to get the best price, is probably the way to go).
