It’s cool seeing people who built up their success solely in the real world besides any type of internet platforms. There’s something about the “old school” method of success that seems even more respectable now.
@AnthonyVicino2 жыл бұрын
Totally agree with the sentiment, but in truth, for a lot of people, building online (ecommerce, digital marketing, educational products, etc...) is far easier and probably the better path all things told. At the beginning of my journey, I lacked any skills that would've enabled me to crush it online. For the younger generation who grew up with the internet, that might not be the case!

But who defines what a 1% man is lmao? If you just blindly follow the generic "alpha male advice" aka get rich, women and status you still are nothing but a sheep. Maybe a fancy one, but still a sheep. A successful life comes down to what you define as your values. If you manage to satisfy the needs that come with your values you are successful in life. Because true validation can only come from within. What people also fail to realize is that you shouldn't act from a place of desperation e.g. if I have women I will be happy or if I have a lot of money I will be happy. What hinders you to be happy right now and act from a place of fulfillment no matter your circumstances?

Great conversation! And I totally agree about playing the money game. I just want to add that you can play the money game without starting a business. I played the money game by having a regular job, saving half my income and investing it. Mostly in real-estate, but also in stocks and some alternative investments. After 7 years I was able to quit my job and now my main focus is on personal development. Life has never been better, even though objectively 2022 hasn't been a very good year. But my life is great because I've learned and experiences so much in the past year since I no longer have to spend most my time working. This point is essential: You don't need nearly as much money as you probably think in order to be rich. My net worth is far from 6 figures, and yet I feel incredibly rich because I can do what I want to do. And I've learned that there's no correlation between spending a lot of money and being happy.

I think our identity is always changing, and when we go for different goals that makes us pick different paths. People don't like change, that's why they sometimes hard for them to identify with your persent self. Sometimes it is for a nostalgic reason, sometimes it because of bias. To this day I think my family thinks about my as the small skinny kid from the Bronx. The answer to all this is to be true and just go for it. I tried different things security guard, college student, and even being a volunteer firefighter. Some I have excelled at others not so much. If something does not work out change. Companies change their brand, to exploit the market. You can change search for happiness in your life. BTW I failed as a firefighter, and that's okay I learned a lot along the way. Stay on the journey my friends.

I don't believe his whole argument about land and property always appreciating, or how the US is successful because of land. Property **sometimes** loses value. Just go to Detroit or anyplace that had an oil boom and bust - and there's so many homes and properties that sold for lots of money and are now virtually worthless. He's definitely overselling "land" as a perfect investment. I will say that it's generally a good investment, because it generally goes up. He definitely undervalues stocks. He says that people who have money in the bank loses because of inflation. Who in the world puts money in the bank, and not in the stock market? He's also completely wrong about the Occupy Wallstreet movement being "wealth is bad" (39:20). Saying that sounds like defensiveness and a deliberate attempt to misunderstand/strawman things.

It's quite interesting at the same time ironic how people with lots of money not having kids or just one or two kids while people living in extreme poverty breeding like crazy numbers. But idealistically, rich people should have more children since they have excess to more resources to provide to their progeny. I don't know why but I feel bad for the children born in poor families. It's quite unfortunate.

§:10 Uuh I just saw you rubbing the perfume into your skin. This is really bad for the scent. I used to do the same when I applied perfume. My ex-roomate was a perfume salesman, and he explained to me that heat is detrimental to scents. That's also why you should protect your scents from daylight, especially sunlight, and keep them as cool as possible. The best way to apply the fragrance is on the pulse at your wrist (as Captain Sinbad did) or at your neck, or hair. If you want to have a medium sillage spraying on your neck two times is totally fine. Depending on the fragrance, maybe three. If you want to provoke some more attention to your scent, you can spray a little more, et voilà. So guys, please never rub your scents!
