Yoskid OBJ producers keep it from you because they also don’t know. They only create a record and send it to their fellows engineers. 90% of the work is done by engineers, that’s why their music is so well sounding

At the 1:21 sec mark of the video you're explaining the HF boost on (band 6) of the F6 dynamic equalizer, However, you have band 4 highlighted. It looks like you're actually boosting 6k-7k and up (band 6) with a high shelf but you mistakenly said you're boosting 1k (band 4) and up. It actually looks like you are cutting 1k by - .8dB. It is no big deal and I'm not trying to be THAT guy. I just wanted to clear it up for anyone that may not have noticed and that may try to apply this technique. They'll get a completely different sound boosting 1k and up as opposed to 6 or 7k and up. You've got a new SUBSCRIBER in me, my friend! Good stuff!!

Vocals are every beginner engineers' Kryptonite. I'm still at a place where I struggle with them. But I find taking some time to manually automate the levels of the vocal helps does a lot at the other end. It takes a lot of the work off your compressor as well, so that can run smoother.

As the comp process grows and magnifies, you can here background noise during solo play, either from your headphones or from someone may have been in the vicinity where you were recording and they were picked up audibly on parts of the lyrical "rest" in silence in between the lyrics lines... Of course, which will obviously be muted by the noise gate.
