3 windows 11 devices here. 2 received the update 10 days ago. The other just received the update 2 days ago. I was thinking there was a problem with the 3rd device. I worried for nothing. ZERO problems on any device. And why would anyone want to "roll back to previous version?" What, people are not going to like it?

Hello Brian, love your productions. One issue I have is, can't find how to turn off the tooltips / info balloons in Win 11 22H2 File Explorer. Moving the mouse over a click choice results in a pop-up to help you, however some of the older users I'm working with will find it troublesome. I can't find a way to disable the feature. Any ideas? Thanks

Brian you mentioned doing this on unsupported hardware machines and I have an older Ivy Bridge which I installed 10 Pro onto and then upgraded it to 11 Pro using those registry tweaks a video on how to get 22H2 onto unsupported machines already running 21H2 builds like mine would be really good.

Love the update. Very useful and no loss to my gaming side of things. Ryzen 2600 with gtx 1070 and still going strong when I do some editing on music to video. Not the faster pc but it gets the job done.

@@rola8597 i will say this and i will say it only once, respectfully. Let. Them. Be. It is everyone's opinion whether they like Windows 11 or not. There are people out here who like Windows 11, so what? Do we have to be toxic? Definitely NOT. It is their choice to like something over something else. I personally am one of those people who love Windows 11 because of its look, I even have it installed on both of my machines and things are going just fine like before when I had Windows 10. It is a fine operating system that works really good for me and it even improved my performance on both my laptop and my all in one pc. I really do not know about other people, but I personally am just fine with Windows 11. I understand, as it seems from your comment, you do not like Windows 11. Alright, I respect that. But you do not need to drop like this over an innocent comment. Everyone has a right to state their opinion. It is their right to like Windows 11 or not, whether you embrace this idea or not. Be respectful with others as others are or at least try to be. If you cannot be respectful, then at least do not write comments in such a manner no matter if it is one word or not. Think twice or even three times before writing something.

Updated so far no problem. Little change noticed except start menu recommendations reduced giving extra line of programs and folders.

Tell us how to delay update with a few different methods, I thought you said it was not a good idea to update as it causes the blue screen of death and dropped frame rates in gaming, both of these issues I’d rather avoid!

Yea only some stuff in event wiever errors etc which doenst do nothing at all..some LSA 6155 heared lot of people got this problem too because of upgrading to 22H2 but it doesnt affect anything its just there it has to do something with security credentials or something

Be sure to update (Realtek PCIe GbE Family Controller network card driver) my system unit has been updated normally for 10 years. The driver must be no older than 2021. Look in device manager for the release date.

I am running into big problem Windows has force the 22H2 update and is ready for PC be restarted to install it. Another thing is when I go to Windows update it stays on a loop were does not end. I am trying to do sfc /scannow and it ask me restart PC for it to take place. Will Windows 22H2 update override my attempt to fix any corrupted files before installing Update 22H2.?

There is no way Windows could force the Windows 11 22H2 update on your PC because this is sent as an optional update for both Windows 10 and Windows 11 21H2, unless you enabled something by mistake in the Registry or Group Policy, or if you joined the Insider Program by mistake. How did it happen?

@@mihaipetrescu7231 actually did not joking nor anything i touch nor mess with registry or allowed it. It actually force the update all on it's own. Granted since than nothing has gone wrong and windows 11 pro 22H2 did not give me any issue of what other folks were having just maybe few FPS loss on my gaming but my GPU does so high on FPS is no biggie to me. Wierd but it happen.

I guy I know installed this update yesterday on his laptop and his trackpad quit working. After trying all the usual fixes I finally took off the back cover, unhooked the battery and the CMOS battery, as well as the main lead to the trackpad. Then I hooked them all back up and the trackpad worked. I guess it just needed a crude factory reset. LOL.

Hey Brian. I was Mac only for 29 years and now I'm PC/Android only since 2015. I've got to say that Windows has been getting better and better but MAN OH MAN there's this Microsoft mentality to everything that occasionally drives me bonkers. There is absolutely nothing wrong with your video. But the process is so typical. Say you want to manually download and install the latest feature update. WhyTF doesn't Windows offer a button to do that on the same page of Windows Update? If you pushed it -- 1. - it wouldn't leave settings at all. 2. The system would already know it's compatible for the update. If it wasn't, it wouldn't offer you the manual installation. 3. It would caution you that (perhaps) you're taking a small risk but then with one click of a button -- 4. -- it would simply do the install. Again, this is nothing against my favorite PC tech Guru. But to show you how ingrained this nonsense is -- you have to do a Winver to find out which version of Windows you're using. WhyTF should you have to do that. On the Windows update page it should tell you, front and center.

Planning to update but afraid. In Windows 11 each time I clean temporary files ,my games get decreased fps. M using hp victus 16(amd 5800h 3060) model. I need to reinstall everything from windows to all the drivers. Can someone tell me permanent solution to this? Is it normal for laptop or is it problem of windows. Assuming you have one of the typical editions, support will end on June 13, 2023. After that, Windows Update won't provide any more quality updates. The only option it will give us to install a feature update, probably 22H2.

@@MrKentaroMotoPI I wouldn't say that I have a "typical" edition of Windows 10........(I have a fixed language, Russian only version!) - 21H2 (Build 19044.2006) but have the same understanding about the process as you - including the fact that 22H2 will probably be offered as a feature update in the near future.

I bought my laptop in the Russian capital 5 years ago (an HP) after having amazing reliability from my previous HP/Compaq unit - I researched and chose the spec of the laptop very carefully but not (apparently) the Windows version it came with...... My knowledge of IT/software-related Russian has consequently improved in the 5 years I've had the laptop)

It's okay to download now and you can do it through the main updater, i think they've no doubt added bug fixes and stuff to it but it's fully released now which means it's running good. Just make sure all your drivers and your BIOS is fully up to date but even if they are i would reupdate your BIOS and drivers like sound, wireless, touchpad, armory crate if you need to use that (certain computers and laptops need that), and one or two controller drivers... which i did myself and also made my laptop perform faster.

This update is a huge stuttering mess even after trying the Nvidia driver workaround. If you like gaming, don't bother updating till they fix it. There's no fix yet. Just canned responses.

@@Britec09 was a bit of a pain especially as before discovering it was a change in the os we spent ages using different drivers thinking it was an issue with that or the wireless card. Luckily had other machines to install 22h2 on which replicated the issue I enjoy the vids btw. Definitely been my go to a few times.

I use and SSD for my main drive, back up regular drive, lots of RAM.. So, guess I need to check your video on how to upgrade my system.. and do it I guess without the 'heath checks' or whatever it takes.. Course i would like to get an USB drive copy of my OS (jic) I need to re-install later.. :-/ Never know with windows..

Hard Pass! I do have Windows 11 installed on a spare drive, i just can't commit to it being my main OS! If they can fix the right click context menu's, make it less clicks to get to where i want, maybe then. They also need to fix Privacy>>Background Apps, what a pain having to turn each app off through so mny clicks, bring back the slider!
