So, I feel like my crush is kinda special. It's not your normal crush. We do musical theater in the same place and we were just in a production of Crazy For You. In the show, there are alot of love songs, so occasionally he sings them to me as if we were the main characters in the story. We dance, and we sing together. Sometimes backstage he flirts with me alot( well, at least I think he is) and tells people that we're destined to be together because we are both going to the same high school. The thing is, is that it's hard to tell if he's just being a good friend, or hinting, because we in musical theater are all a big family, and we're all really close, and like we all love each other as one big family, which makes this even more confusing. Now I'm freaking out because it turns out that there's a welcome back dance the 2ND week of school, and I'm not exactly sure if I should ask him out. Help?

2:44 this is really important. Like, I'm super quiet, and generally introverted, and people have always been telling me to be more confident and come out of my shell. They say don't be afraid to be yourself, and they say be confident, and then when my "confident" looks different, people brush it off as being shy. And this is the first time I've seen someone acknowledge that confidence doesn't mean always speaking, being loud, or exuberant. Thanks so much Kimberly, this really felt like a validation. Sometimes confident can just mean knowing that you are a real, whole human being, and accepting yourself and extending that kindness to the people around you. My story starts at the open house. My mom introduced me to her friend and her friend introduced me to her son. We continued on from there. After I had found all my classes, I went to try to open my locker. The mom and son came walking down the hall. The mom taught me this awesome trick for opening my locker faster. When I went home that night I started to question my sanity and existence. During the first week or so, I would see him in the halls and freak out. The first school dance rolled around and he was there. I was so nervous, and basically ran away from him the entire time. All the while, I was on the Vollyball team. And I hated it. He was on the cross country team. So you know what I did? I quit Vollyball. And join cross country. Now I couldn't be happier. Not only have we had some quality conversations, but I love the sport!!! Back to school crush story: It's the same crush from last year. We had a summer school class together and he would go up to me and talk to me. It was awkward because we didn't talk on the last day of summer school. So yeah school started and we didn't talk to each other or anything. But I went to get help from my teacher and basically I didn't know the answer and he over heard and told said the answer and I was all frustrated and mad and I yelled at him to shut up. Then the bell rang and I went to class😓 a few days later I was walking near him to class in the hallway and he told me to drop out and I left to class. Okay Kimberley.....I went back to school on August 7th. My crush that I've had for 2 years is now my lab partner but only for one semester. Ok, so need some help talking to the guy I like. I have no idea how to approach him, even though we see each other quite regularly in group situations. I think he may like me as I catch him staring at me, he attempts to sit/be near me, and tries to have physical contact with me, whether it be hands brushing or him wrapping his arms around me to help me with something. Im confused and stuff, like i have a guy friend and eversince school started he would stare at me. but then on the fist week of school i was waiting for my mom to pick me up. So, i put my head on the wall and out of nowhere (guy friend) showed up and told me "hi" and smiling big at me, i looked at him for a minute and said hi. But then days passed and he started to text me first, then he stopped because he has football practice almost every day, sep not fridays. And, then the second week of school, he was standing outside with me, and everytime he sees me he says "hi". Well, he wasn't really my crush until I came back to school. Actually, I had never really thought about him at all in the summer! Over the summer I already had a boyfriend. When I looked over at him I noticed that he was just watching me and not anybody else he was looking right at me. When I looked at him he half smiled. We have a lot in common and I have known him since we were in preschool. He used to flirt with me a lot last year. But now this year he says he just wants to be friends.
