Forgiveness helps with being able to love again. Either the "easy" kind of forgiving that other person who hurt you... OR the "harder" kind of forgiving yourself for falling into a pitfall of loving. It hurts to get hurt, and that should go without saying... no matter how the hurt comes, it's hard on us for the simple and laughable reason that we don't want those "mistakes"... BUT to authentically Love again, you can't be stuck in the "blame" stage. AND not for nothing, here, but it's often ourselves that we have the WORST kind of patience for. It's often ourselves we hold some of the worst grudges against. Even to the degree that many of us (humans in general) lash out temperamentally at the rest of the world over our own displeasure with ourselves... Anger is a "self preservation emotion"... It's often rooted in some kind of Fear. SO maybe if there's no one else there for you to be dwelling upon and angry about, deep down you resent yourself for a hurt you endured in the past. That was a learning experience... a "life lesson" and they don't get easier as you go along. BUT you've learned and grown, and you can forgive yourself (or whoever)... That's okay, too. It's harder to do than it sounds... BUT it's do-able. ;o)

Just sharing my opinion so don’t judge me, but I think it’s okay to have a crush. It’s perfectly normal, but still don’t waste your time and energy on trying to go get anyones attention no matter who it is. Just be yourself, and when you fall in love with who you are and love being yourself. Other people see your beauty and accept you for just those reasons. So if you want someone to notice you, just pay mores attention to yourself instead of seeking them. Meh... relationship seeking advice gets over-rated. I've made it to 45... AND single. It's not bad. I've got a motorcycle, and the balls to ride it... like two-days in the saddle for a hotel stop ride it. If you're really crying yourself to sleep, then something needs to change... Either you can change your "hunting" style or you can change the "hunt". These are tips based on statistical models, and all scientific rigor aside, every statistical model has two parts... 1 The curve... and 2. The outliers... It doesn't have to be depressing that you aren't coupled up by now... Nor is it wholly depressing that you might stay single. I know this ain't exactly the thing you want to hear or read... It's worth sharing though. I'm not half of a couple. I'm a single COMPLETE human being. If I get the likes of a life partner or S.O. or whatever, it can be great... If I don't... I can be a complete man on my own, just fine, too. Marriage may well be a fine thing and all, but if you're not a complete person before you get into a relationship, the relationship isn't going to magically complete you. That notion is as much hog-wash as sticking it out in an abusive relationship "for the sake of the children"... ;o)

You might need to adjust your preferences in a person to make it easier for yourself, even the ugliest people have been able to find their life partner at a certain age in the history of mankind, and they will continue to do so. I know this because I'm currently doing this myself and the people who confessed to me, or confessed their feelings about me to my friends, have been below my preferenfes and standards, physically and characteristically, for the most part Try to adjust it and see what happens. If it still doesn't work out for you, then at least breaking the guiness world record for being single the longest would be a commited achievement

Asking them questions about themselves is a great way to start a semi-deep conversation. Number 2 is especially true and definitely stands out to me because, well I have done the exact same thing 8) Honestly I've never really had any crushes at all through high school or whatever, maybe one time for for like a couple weeks and it quickly died. It wasn't that intense anyway. But the last few months, I've been speaking with loads of Japanese people on a language exchange app, and have been voice calling a few on Discord. Of them, two girls I've spoken to, who I genuinely did not have any feelings for at all initially, started showing signs of attraction, and were/are getting quite playful and flirty. It's important to remember people will always want to be loved and appreciated, even subconsciously, everyone will be wanting that. Of course going in guns blazing with flirting and that might seem too tryhard, but once you get to know someone don't be afraid to pull things a little closer with small little jokes and playful banter/flirting. Once you turn on that lightbulb of "Maybe this person likes me?" in their head, that is now an outcome or decision that they have become aware of. Just a guess, but I feel like if you are always FRIENDLY and not showing signs of like LIKING someone, you'll be in a place in their mind where going out with you never even crossed their mind because they only ever acknowledged and saw you as wanting to be a friend.

I own a dog, and I do play instruments like guitar, but I can't even see my crush's eyes. someone help me, I really dk what to do ahead, so me and my crush had been classmates like a few years ago and like never really talked to each other, but this year he shifted in another college but somehow I managed to become his insta friends skejjs and he remembered me so now I only talk to him there, usually I'm the one to start a convo, it's been only like 2-3 months we've been talking like this and he does love small talks, but usually whenever I talk to him, I bring his topic of interest, so he then has a lot to talk about lmao and we did have kinda deep conversations you could say ? but they weren't about ourselves, just world. but yes he's really kind, very polite. from the tips, firstly I can't have a physical interaction with him as we don't even live near so but for now my aim is to be just his friend, not just a friend, but a close friend, I've always given him enough of hints/signs of me liking him and I'm pretty sure he knows at this point, but I don't wanna confess just yet coz then it'll be a state of awkwardness and possible rejection, so I want to give him all the time he requires, to know me well enough, to trust me (most important) and then only I can think about it, so our current state is just of a friendship and he's not completely open to me yet but I really hope he does!! also he does play keyboard aah and sings as well and is amazing in art, I do sing but I don't know to play any instrument but yes I really wanna learn so maybe someday~ but other than all that, I wish for him to like me for the person I am, I don't wanna change myself and be my own self and I want him to accept me the way I am :)

It's true that it's good to actually show them you like them and to show openness. I don't think one girl that has approached me has been open about things. It has pretty much always been distant, discreet, or prompting of *me* to actually do the thing they're trying to do, and if I don't, they just end up not doing it themselves. It would hit me like a truck if one of them had actually full-stop done the thing, and I wouldn't have been able to help thinking about them a lot. x)

ok so i’m in this class and this is the only class i have with the guy i like. when we do “labs” he comes and sits next to his friend who sits next to me, and the other day he told me i was his best friend and got really close to me and did some slightly flirty stuff when i had only talked to him like twice prior to this, when someone was making jokes about how we would be a cute couple. i didn’t talk a lot in either of these classes before this, but now he sits with me sometimes and calls me his bsf. i think it’s a joke bc i’m kinda shy but not in a pick me way, but i’m not sure if he actually likes me. if anyone can help me figure it out or has any suggestions on what i should do please lmk i really like this kid and i need to know if he likes me back before i kick myself about missing it later

Just try to be a good friend and a nice person! If you do those, it'll increase the chances that he'll like you. Also, if you just ask him out on a date, and pretend that you're going out as "friends", he might eventually confess. If you're comfortable with it, and you're willing to do so, just go for it! Remember that acting awkward after you do something, and acting like you regret it, makes your chances lower. Another tip that I've learned: You may feel awkward for the first little while, but fake confidence until you make it! Ask questions, be friendly and kind, jokingly flirt with him! If you also start acting like that towards other guys, he may not suspect that you like him, but he'll still like you if you are kind and friendly to everyone. Now, granted, not everyone is an extrovert; but LITERALLY, just FAKE IT! It works, I PROMISE! I've seen it in my own life: fake being an extrovert and being confident, and IT WILL COME! Be kind to people and walk up to people, shake off the awkwardness, and TALK TO THEM! You'll become more confident, and appear more attractive to him. And then, eventually, you may even work up the courage to confess to him! I know this is kinda long, but just being nice, talking to people, and pretending you're confident helps SO MUCH!!! I wish that I had someone tell me these things while I was learning how to talk to people, but now that I've learned this, it helps so much!!! And even if this doesn't work out, you'll come out with not only experience, but courage, confidence, and other important skills! Don't be afraid to be an extrovert! But honestly, start out by being nice to everyone, and the rest will start coming! If you need some ideas of how to be nice, literally just give hugs to people, and compliment them SINCERELY! @@lizzyb.2411 thanks for responding! my school semester just ended and i’m not sure if i’ll have any classes with him next semester so i’m sad about it. but, if it’s really meant to be, we’ll cross paths again. i’m still in middle school so we can’t really go on dates, but it is what it is. i played a board game with him and his friends in class and he went and sat on the other side of the table. his friends talked about how he rejected this girl who goes to our school and is super pretty, but it got awkward and he stopped talking about that. that’s something that made me super insecure because i know barely anything about him, but like i said if it’s meant to be we’ll see each other again. this girl also asked who his best friend was and he said that out of everyone it was me and i haven’t felt that appreciated by someone that’s not family in a while, even if it was a joke. im starting to talk to people more, but its a day by day thing and im getting better at learning that im not going to be everyone’s friend. i really appreciate that you responded, and i’m glad to know someone’s rooting for me! i guess i wrote a huge paragraph too, but hey, i love hamilton. happy holidays! i’ll update you if anything happens!
