A quick note. Targets become clickable in space before they become clickable in the overview. The overview has a small delay. If you're quick, targeting them in space is a bit faster.
@babbaderbozz11 ай бұрын
Is the delay worth the effort tho? Seems rather unreasonable to Flick on them which also takes 0,2sec average reaction time to See and ofc tracking and hitting them. Spamming the overlay seems more consistant over all

Cute. Bonus points if you set dscan to a very low range and actually jump into the wh before the target arrives on grid. You might want to add this point to the video since it teaches the importance of dscan to newbies.

Great video, I've just started playing Eve Online and this is exactly what I was looking for. Just a heads up, I noticed in your fit under the description you have listed the Core Probe Launcher II x1 which requires Omega status to use, as I see in the video its meant to be a Core Probe Launcher I. Confused me a bit when I simulated the fit
@EVEILOnline2 жыл бұрын
Hey man, thanks for the feedback. There's actually 2 fittings in the description. One is the fit I fly in the video, and the other is the optimal fit at the end of the video. The optimal fit isn't alpha friendly, but you're right I should have made that more clear

This is a great little guide to some easy explorer bashing. Only thing I would do different would be rockets instead of Blasters. Maybe less DPS on paper with day one skills, but your application will be steady, instead of the odd miss every few shots with blasters due to tracking. And it'll have better range.
@benjaminkk9081 Жыл бұрын
nice vid! If you know you might have to go for the decloak. Press SHIFT-V before you click on the enemy. Your camera will lock onto it. Then not just press approach but slightly to the left/right/up/down to it depending on the direction he will try to escape. This way, you are already on the way to your target and can easily go for a decloak.

Very impressive idea you have there; since I joined the game, I've always wanted to do cloaky hunting, but since that requires a roughly 100m ship minimum, it can be hard for new players to learn. This method though allows you to experience something similar with a much lower price tag.

Manticore was not thinking clearly haha. Mine was my first visit to nullsec. Back when I was super green. This i clever and in fact you could start pvp at day one with this method. But it's more like ganking. This fit would never work in a proper fight. And the problem is that you are not learning pvp if target never fights back. And if he did, any normal pvp fit would destroy this one. So you are not giving yourself opportunity to engage in a proper 1v1. Still i like the spirit of this one. You start your career as an outlaw so it's better chance that you will not become carebear :)

I seem to be missing something. I’ve done exactly what you have done, strategy wise, and fit wise the same and I have more DPS. I tracked a total of 8 targets into the WH. Mostly T1 frigates. They all are placed relatively close to the WH when they warp in and I preload my weapons and when I click on the target sometimes it says they are invulnerable and I also can’t kill them. They all are able to get back to the gate I will try a double web and 1 scram this time but I don’t understand how you were able to get 4 so effortlessly but 8 got away from me.
@EVEILOnline Жыл бұрын
With wormholes, targets appear at varying distances from the wormhole. It is even possible to appear within the jump range of the hole, in which case it is impossible to catch them before they jump. You may have just been unlucky. Recommend recording yourself if you can, and watch the clips back later. How many km away did they appear? You'll be able to review what happened.

it's funny how all these videos they say " nice loot pays 8x the ship cost" ...in a real scenario any new player will die 9 out of 10 times :)) and when you are 20+ systems away from a trade hub you don't jump back to sell a measly 8mil loot that turns to be 4 mil after taxes and market pricing :D ..you go on until someone else kills you :D 🤣🤣🤣🤣 pro players in eve creating "how to as a new players" are like Myke Tyson in his prime pretending he has never boxed and proving how to dodge some random guy's punches and be cost effective :D The real scenario is day 1 alpha guy realizes he can't skill into anything effective. Buys sub for 20$, buys plex for 30$, sells quickly below market price...now he has 2bil isk , that's like 400 frigs with decent fit. He looses 15 of them to destroyers and 3x gangs randomly every yellow and blue system and then moves up to destroyers , looses 20 of them to frigates then goes on forum to rage. He's made fun of and deletes the game but comes back a week later begging a null corp to adopt him cause he won't take a 50$ loss 🤣🤣🤣proceeds to loose 9 out of 10 engagements but since he's a fleet drone, now he gets all the ships for free until he feels guilty enough to sub a second account and start mining to "prove he can fund his own pvp" to the guild. Spends some 1 bill on injectors to speed up his mining alt. Two months later he finally has a clue on how some modules counter each other and how to properly fly one type of frigate but everytime you properly fly your frigate solo, you're only running into people flying precisely what counters your frigate so it's no good, back to fleet droning.
@EVEILOnline2 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure if you watched the video, but I did this as a day1 alpha pilot to show that you don't NEED loads of skills to get your first kill. I also state to camp the systems next door to Jita. I.e. you're literally 1 jump from the biggest trade hub in the game to sell your loot. Add to that the method is essentially spam click your overview until the target appears, I challenge you to find an easier way to get your first legitimate pvp kill outside of ganking. Sounds like you had a pretty rough start to the game if that was your experience. I assume you are talking from experience? This is why I'm suggesting an alternative to the often suggested faction warfare route into pvp. If all you're fighting are ships that counter yours, you're doing something wrong. Try this method, you only need to memorise the 4 basic T1 exploration frigates, those are your targets. If anything else comes by, just jump through the wormhole back to safety...
@terranu12 жыл бұрын
@@EVEILOnline nah my eve experience was mostly harmless and easy, my was meant to be funny not an attack or anything 🤣 but seriously any day 1 alpha new playah would prolly die 15 times by just entering a wh around jita and figuring out wtf is going on. That shouldnt stop them from trying tho. Matter of fact, I'll boot up my old account and try this.

I think you missed the point of the video. It is a guide for new players to get their first pvp kill. Killing other new players is a great way to do that. Though assuming someone is new because they're in a T1 exploration frigate is a bit silly. If you enter wormhole space, you are a fair target regardless of your age. Also, how is killing other players not pvp?

I'm an experienced explorer and I fly Herons precisely because I can lose one from time to time but still be making 50m - 150m / hr and just not worry about it. I'd make a valid target for a newb doing this (though I'd likely at least throw my drones out to create some chaos that might help me escape.) This is Eve.
@TheActivePlays8 ай бұрын
pvp = player versus player, so it is pvp by definition.. If you want to be safe while exploring stay in highsec. I'm also a newbie, but when I go into a wh or nullsec I take the risk of being killed.
