Welcome to my backyard! Here are the links mentioned in the video:
What to take to the Mexican Embassy:
consulmex.sre....
Where to buy/ download a Certified Copy:
www.gob.mx/curp/
Make an Appointment:
citas.sre.gob.mx/
or 1(424)309-0009
What I brought to the first & second Appointment:
$20 for parking (optional)
- 2 Black ink pens
- My ORIGINAL U.S. Birth Certificate
-My VALID Drivers License (Or I.D)
Parents Documents:
-Credencial de Elector (Consular ID), issued after January 12, 2005
-Certificate of Naturalization
- Mexican Birth Certificate for parent(s) claiming you.
- Mexican Marriage Certificate if mother changed her last name.
(Bring two copies of everything)
This process is FREE! You only spend your time. They will tell you when you can pick up your birth certificate (I think its Fridays only). If you want a certified copy of your birth certificate then that will be $16 USD. YOUR Mexican Passport and Your Consular ID is at a charge but that's after becoming a Mexican Citizen and you have to make different appointment for those.
