HOW TO GET YOUR PASSPORT iN 3 DAYS

This is my story and how I got it in 3 days... here are my random tips
Tips
1. Don’t give up, there is hope!
2. If you plan to stand in line bring a chair, blankets, food, water
there are alternatives to standing in line like paying for a service, search xLines on IG or youtube
( / @xlinesapp8260 . What a great idea!
3. Make friends, everyone has a story... Unless you just want to sleep and thats fine too.
4. Your chances are best when the trip is can be shown with the flight leaving within 72 hours which is 3 business days! Creative people risk it to win that biscuit!
5. They are here to help but there are SO MANY people so I saw them cut WILL CALL to 3 days a week.
6. I posted my story on YELP as well, the phone lines are insane to get through so Ill do my best to answer your comments and questions!

I did this in 2004 in MD. Took pics at Cerox center at midnight and showed up at DC in AM. My flight left that day. Scared shitless. We were going to Italy.

@JonCris quick question. Is the appointment you got after standing in will call line...the same as the appointment you get over the phone? Did you have to give an extreme story to get it. Or were they just providing passports for whoever had the plane tickets and itinerary?

I do believe it’s the same appointment, at the time there were just too many people in need so no over the phone appointments were given. My story was just another normal mistake, expired passport and travel itinerary was coming up within 72 hours… Hope that helps 👍🏼

Hello Jon. nice sharing. Before you went at the federal building, did you have an appointment? I have a scheduled flight on Jan. 4 of next year and my passport is expiring on the 3rd of jan next year. What documents did you bring the first day you went there?

You’re welcome, that night I went there The very first night I did not have an appointment. I stood in line for will call. I did have my expired passport on both occasions that I went though, and also my itinerary and passport photos on the second day prior to my appointment. Hope that helps 🙏🏼🙌🏼

What documents do you need? DS-11 form? SSC? Obviously your old passport and ID but anything else? Also can you pay the fee with debit, cash or a money order?

The only form I needed was the DS 82 , the DS 11 is for individuals first time with a passport from what I read. When I was there they accepted all forms of payment debit, and credit card I don’t recall if cash was accepted but I don’t see why it wouldn’t be.

hey man! by chance did you see parents making the line since early in the morning and their spouse and kid arriving a bit later? I got a new born and it'll be difficult for him to make the line with us that early in the morning. Was planning on going myself and my wife and kid to arrive about 5.45am

Most definitely, there were people who even stand in line for you… you could even pay them. In your case yep, people were kind and I’m sure they would be sensitive to your baby and family ❤️

What was your story? My grandmas birthday is on 26th of September and my little sister wants to visit her in Mexico she is 15 and never has had a passport. Do you think it’s possible for her excuse to get a passport that fast? Or is it only for emergency?

Your little sister has to be 16 I believe and I believe she needed a passport also BUT if it’s a LIFE/DEATH EMERGENCY they may allow, just be sure to have all documentation! 🙏🏼 best of luck

Hey you! You said you can’t smile anymore for passport pictures. Do you mean with teeth or not even a smirk? I just took new ones and I have an upcoming appointment. I want to make sure I have the right one. I’m giving a small smile, but no teeth. Is that not okay?? 😰😰

That was only at “CVS” per that employee passport pictures are very specific and no smiling is allowed.

On your first day or night going there, is it better to have a photo on hand?

It’s probably best to have your photo ready, but most likely they won’t see you until you have an appointment very close to your flight when processing your passport.

You have to show proof of your itinerary leaving within three days, and the morning I got to will call I had to show proof of that. I had to return for an appointment which I had to show the other documents old expired passport and fees in order to get a new passport

How early before appointment time did you show up

On my appointment day I showed up 90 minutes early BUT there were about 15 people ahead of me and maybe another 20 behind me with all the same appointment time. We were all 1 group . Best of luck!

So I, unfortunately, will be doing this next week if my passport that I expedited does not get here in time ahhh. But this gives me hope! but, why did they have you come back the next day? I was planning to go on Friday morning and stay till I got my passport because my flight leaves the following Monday morning.

They did not give me a reason as why I had to come back the next day, but I would assume it was because there were SO MANY people, security said 4-500 people and last week they were only doing WiLL CALL, Monday Wednesday Friday! Good Luck, there is hope!!

@@idellaprice2265 Do you have to make sure but they did cut it down to Monday Wednesday and Friday for will call last week I was there I’m not sure what they currently are doing, there are security guards that should be able to tell you, however that night I was there the security guards were not informed and a whole bunch of people did go home after waiting in line all night long… Best of luck!

Did you hear any stories about someone who's trying to renew, already sent their docs, but haven't received it in time? 2. I plan on going tonight, well, Thursday morning but my departure date is 09/16/21 at 11p.m...am i wasting time going tonight? I was hoping they'd give me an appt for next week sometime. 3. You’re very welcome, yes I have heard stories of that, the person directly in front of me had the same situation and the person behind me… It seems like it’s a very common situation. I think that if you go tonight they will make you come back for sure another time for the appointment but who knows when…but I understand the situation you’d want to try and get your passport as soon as possible. It’s hard to say what they will do but it’s key if your travel is within 72 hours. The total fee was about $170 after they charged everything, it was only $60 to expedite it there. I’m not sure yes there is going to be another charge since you already paid. Hope that helps

@@trucho8318 it’s such a process ! No way to avoid that stress!!! But hang in there, they will take care of you. I have heard of people getting an appointment outside of the 3 day 72 hour window but most of the people there that day were leaving with in. They will give you an appointment eventually but the question is when. Since you are 2 weeks out, they might handle all the people leaving within the 72 hours…. Best chance is to have an itinerary leaving very soon.

So, I was eventually able to get my passport. I actually was able to get an appointment in El Paso Texas and was planning on traveling there to get my passport. Luckily I have the passport processing office contacted me and I was able to get my passport within a few days. Keep calling in search of an appointment. Don’t bother going down there and waiting in line because they will not be able to help you. Your best bet is to try and get an appointment anywhere in the country. LOL thank goodness I had help with calling for an appointment. Although the experience was very stressful, I have to hand it to the federal passport division, every single person I spoke to was very kind, professional, and apologetic to no fault of their own.
