I was installing an update. The screen is black and says: *Welcome to Fastboot Mode for bootloader unlock : *Please check "Enable OEM unlock" in developer options* *Quick Guidance 1) How to unlock fastboot oem unlock 2) Check bootloader is unlocked fastboot getvar unlocked * HOW TO exit Fastboot mode 1) Press the power button for 10 seconds to turn off the device 2) Use 'fastboot reboot' command if the fastboot is available In really tiny text in the top left-hand corner of the phone Holding the power button for 10 seconds as instructed does nothing, it does not power off. The only way for me to do literally anything is to take the battery out. I put it back in and turn it on, it boots up, gives some type of warning about not doing something properly and I am back at the screen. I did not/do not want to root my phone. I do not want to lose any of my data. This is my emergency phone, this is the worst possible time for this to happen I have no idea how I got to this screen or why I am here I literally was installing a system/security/standard update thing for my phone and nothing else I did/do have it hooked up to my laptop right now. I manged to get into the file system/developer settings? But I don't know what to do I am afraid of ruining anything even more I do not want to factory reset How did I end up here It was an update Please help me

Sorry but Idk what to reply for this tbh. I don't root my phones anymore and my lg g3 was dead long time ago so i don't remember anything. The video i made was regarding the issue i faced and how i got outa that problem. After reading your longgg comment, i don't think so it's related to the issue what i faced. guys you can flash new soft (stock) with LG flash tool (must have KDZ file) if this isnt working, download mode with fastboot is possible

boot.img is a twrp file . i just renamed it as boot.img

When I type adb devices it only say...*daemon started successfully List of devices attached But it doesn't show any devices When I continue the process don't work I have installed all the drivers. What Im I missing...plz help The other thing is the commands I enter on pc also show on the phone...

It may work only T-mobile (it is stock bootloader unlocked). Don't try this any other LG unless if you have bootloader unlocked.

im in the process of renaming the file to "boot.img" after renaming it i hold the shift button then right click but there is no windows power shell option. i can see the " open commend window here" and it will gives me the command prompt a color black window.. not the PS blue window like in your video. im using Windows 7 ultimate .

Ya command window is same as power shell. Don't worry bout it. After you open command window, enter the same commands as shown in video. Hope this helps (:

This method is for G2 phones. In G3 fastboot mode is locked.

Hi Very nice tutorial. Would appreciate some help. Thanks. My device is rooted, developer options on and usb debugging but at the stage of using fastboot or fastboot recovery command it says waiting for the device. In either command the same message. I have installed the drivers twice and can see the device in device manager but each time I try it keeps waiting for the device.

Ya it happens, it's normal to happen, you just keep trying, I'm sorry but I can't help you with this any further because honestly speaking, I've forgotten with regarding what i did and how i brought it back to normal. Just read the article mentioned in the description area of this video or just recheck maybe you've not installed the drivers of the phone or Windows.

make sure you type exact name name of twrp recovery. or if it doesnt work then try renaming the recovery file. and you have any problem further please refer the "android central forum" which i linked in the description. i too referred that nd solved my problem. hope this helps

It won't install in adb folder automatically. You have to copy paste it in that folder manually.

Sorry i don't have a g3 with me. I've switched to new phone and my rooting(g3) knowledge has long gone. So you may have to rely on the internet for solution for your problem. KZbin is a great platform just keep checking untill you get a solution (:

it is not software it is command window. in windows it shows as powershell i think but in win 7 ,8 it shows as "command window". just right click in empty space where your files are .

This method works for all the devices (for the most part) just the commands maybe slightly different and also the twrp file will be according to the model number of your phone.
