There is also another upgrade for the soldier I would request for Foot Soldier mains, which is the Bottomless upgrade. This upgrade makes the soldier instantly gain 22 rounds to his clip upon vanquishing an enemy, which can make him very effective at basically any range due to not having to reload as long as you have someone to shoot at and vanquish. And if combined with the Faster Reload and Ammo Thing-A-Ma-Bob upgrades, that helps him greatly too.

0:15 working on a little personal mod for PvZ1 while watching and was very confused for a split second like "I didn't alt tab over yet why am i hearing the almanac??" Edit: Rocket Leap being just na upgrade is disappointing but I'm glad it is at least there because Rocket Jump is hte single worst ability between the PvZ shooters. It's a double jump that's not. I'd much rather have what is functionally a sprint (Yes I'm aware BFN has actual sprinting) i order to get that distance boost while fleeing, or getting across gaps that are otherwise inaccessible.

I think that outside turf take over foot soldier has almost the worst performance in BfN because: First of all he has the almost the worst primary weapon in the game. BfN z1 assault blaster has the worst recoil, almost the worst gunsway(behind rose), almost the worst damage per clip(behind rose), a high dispersion, and almost the worst DPS. Then he also has mediocre to bad abilities: ZPG is hard to use in middle battle but is good against slow enemies. Stink cloud is only useful keeping enemies away (but not projectiles)and sometimes can cancel butter beacon or homing. And rocket jump is useless if you are fighting against an experienced player and there's nowhere high to jump. The only reason he isn't the worst assault class in BfN is because he has some of the best upgrades in the entire game being rapid fire, rocket leap, and liftoff; and because he is decent if they don't see you coming or if they don't expect to bump into you

Sticky allowing you to practically guarentee vanquishes on literally every plant class in the game (except for maybe fully stacked Oaks, but even then the gas will take care of the riding Acorns even if they all pop healing):

@@pillowmint4622 well, that's kind of true, but not at all, because it's usually hard tu use that upgrade, and many plants can avoid the smoke bomb with abilities like spin dash, burrow, arcane enigma, or healing. To top it off, super stink cloud needs 30 seconds to be ready again, so if you have to fight against many plants in a short period of time, sticky would not be very helpful

Pretty much the only thing soldier is good at is assault 100’s, and that’s only due to him being so mediocre that you won’t make your team cap the point even when playing soldier to full potential FYI you don’t have to fire in controlled bursts, remember popcap is bad at coding Spamming the trigger will remove practically all bloom caused by firing the weapon without hurting the dps at all

Isn’t the zpg hard coded to ALWAYS one hit plants with base hp of 175 and below with a direct hit, no matter their overheal or damage resistances are though? That imo makes it better at taking out those reload gatling human peices of garbage than sb’s upgraded hadoken

@@GoodlyData86596 i didn't know about that. I don't think that's how it works though, i played chomper with overhealth, got zpg'd in the face and survived. And extra special gives you a shield when using hadouken, so if a sunbeam or gatling spots you, you can still take it out without getting mowed down
