I just wanted to say thank you, I’ve had a large mouth bass I’ve been trying to catch for a month. It would half strike at top water and just wouldn’t really fully commit to any of my soft baits. I threw one of these in green pumpkin with some red on it. Anyway, first cast, he thumped it and I set the hook and the rest is history!!! 😎👍🏻👍🏻 Thank you so much

I am speechless......THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!! I payed close attention to your advice. I set my rig up exactly how you said and everything came together. I used a black and blue Yum speed worm as the sun was going down. On the 7th or 8th cast I hooked up with a 4.5 pound Northern Largemouth. I LOVE HOW IT COVERS GROUND QUICKLY!!!!! I think this will be my go to method. WOW!!!!!!!!

I've been getting em on a 10 inch ribbon tail worm this summer but I like those paddle tail speed worms. Thank you for showing me how to speed the process up. I like the idea of pegging your weight to punch thru the vegetation and increase movement in the paddle tail.

Yesterday early in the morning I caught a nice 2 and a half pounder with a black and blue YUM speed worm. I was fishing right outside the current in semi- slack water.

Yes there is. It’s in between a moderate action and a fast action. Hence the name, moderate fast..

This is a technique I’ve just been getting into. It’s been good to me in the higher pressure waters in the DFW area. We’ve had a lot of strong cold fronts this spring and I’ve also found twitching a weightless speedworm can be a great alternative to a senko or fluke in tough conditions. I try to work it like I would a jerkbait...and they hit it like a jerkbait...HARD. Definitely a bait that will stick with me 👍

If you use a VERY small weight or even weightless and now you have an awesome weedless topwater
@halfmoon50224 жыл бұрын
Yup. I use a 5/0 Gamukatsu Big River hook w/o any weight. The slow diving action drives bass berserk.

Dont sleep on the speed worm for the spawn, bass down here in Louisiana hate it around their beds

How about paddle tail swim baits how to fish them

Such a cool video. I mess around when I'm bored sometimes with this style of fishing. I have notice when I fish a familiar lake and I'm reeling in my worm to get over a nasty tree and get smashed. I need to find some worms with those tails.
