Hi Eric, this is great if the guy want to keep it short/medium. But if a guy want to have a massive beard, the neckline is important, neckline must not be touched. The technique is to trim slightly less than 3 centimeters the transparency of the very bottom of the chin's beard hairs every 3 or 4 months. This will brings back volume, length at an incredible speed, less transparency. Let it grow let it flow.

Hey Eric, Great to see you just when I needed to. I just started my beard 3 days ago. About the law of diminishing returns. Mike Mentzer said it best that when it comes to weight training Less is actually better. Two Days a week of quality training will get you more benefits than 4 days per week. Recovery is so much more important than most guys know. Mike Mentzer was one of the best built guys in the world and he was super smart too.

Wow! I've done the complete opposite. I just shaved off a BIG, long "Viking warrior" beard that I've had since 2020! I'm now sporting a clean shaven with sideburns style (1950s retro look). ... But I'm still a beard fan! 👍😉 💪🧔🏻

I'm almost reaching the 90 day mark since I stopped shaving and have left my beard completely alone. I am starting to get to this exact weird stage where some hairs on my jaw bone are starting to really look awkward, but I'm kind of resisting the temptation of trimming anything. I am thinking about letting it grow for another month before doing some minor trimming. I am going for something a little longer than an executive beard. How long would you recommend letting it grow before the first trim?
@BeardbrandAlliance
@BeardbrandAlliance Жыл бұрын
I think 3 months is plenty long enough for your first trim, so whenever you feel comfortable would be my answer. -Eric

If you want a very good beard: Step 1: Don't touch the neckline. Don't do the 1 nor 2 fingers above Adam's apple. Let it grow let it flow.

@jaycarter990 Hi dear Carter, let it grow ;) At the beginning (the first months) it looks weird then you continue without looking at it just by letting it grow and grow, then if you have pretty good genetics, every 4 months you trim slightly the transparency of the very bottom of your chin's beard hair (very slightly). Watch the "Dan C Bearded transparency trim video" on KZbin if you have time. But most importantly: Don't touch the neckline, don't shave it nor trim it.

@jaycarter990 Another thing I advise you, if you can find these on internet buy them: Meadowfoam seed oil, squalane oil. According to studies. They are the very best ingredients ever for any types of beards. Also, Jojoba oil , avocado oil are correct for beards too but not as efficient as Meadowfoam seed oil and squalane oil. Argan and castor oil are good too but not good for the skins and of course not as good as Meadowfoam seed oil and squalane oil. Here are the very worst ingredients for beard: Almond or sweet' almond oil, hemp oil, grape seed oil, canola oil, mineral oil, sunflower oil, safflower oil, pumpkin oil, apricot kernel oil. Cause they are rich in polyunsaturated fat, fatty acid, which in the ligh, in the contact of the air are very bad for beard and hair. Don't by them. And you will notice that in almost every brand beard company there are these ingredients. And yes they sell us shit.

@jaycarter990 My respect to you too dear friend, if you want real beard content: Dan C Bearded. On KZbin, he really know his subject. I mean beardbrand is a great company of course and there are very good guys . But nothing can beat these three ingredients: Squalane oil (buy it without chemical in it, buy it more like Squalane extract from olive oil which is'clean and pure), Meadowfoam seed oil and jojoba oil. Buy them three on the internet and mix them together and shake them before using them in your palm, and put your fingertips on your palm then massage through the underneath of your beard and then on your beard. For beard wash I recommend Beard Octane LCW wash, and or Doctor Nicks wash. Very good wash with organic ingredients . That doesn't dry the beard . Wash your beard every two or three days even if they say that their products can be used daily. Cause our beard has natural sebum, we need that sebum naturally. In other words: Wash your beard every day with just water, and every two/three days with wash beard . And you are ready to go my friend for the long journey. Let it grow Lion ;)
