The LANAP procedure is meant to treat gum disease and we have had remarkable results with bone growth!
Using the LANAP - Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure, we have been getting AMAZING results with bone growth.
In this video, Dr Joseph Nemeth shows some of the before and after photos of jaw bone that has grown from the LANAP procedure.
#LANAP is a safe, pain free alternative to gum surgeries of the past. Not only can you return to work the next day, but you'll experience a much healthier mouth and healthier body too!
LANAP can also be used to #growbone around dental implants. Many dentists or periodontists would claim that these teeth are hopeless and need to be pulled out. At our office, Dr Nemeth tries to save every tooth he can save. With the Laser Gum Surgery, this is easier and more effective than ever before.
These areas where bone has been lost can now be restored and bone growth can be expected fairly regularly with the Laser gum surgery.

I have sunk a ton into my teeth, let me share something. I am very into alternative and organic type care and resisted Fluoride. When I finally started using my high fluoride toothpaste prescribed by my dentist, my teeth stopped deteriorating so fast, might want to try that as starter, good luck.
@silverhranch
@silverhranch 3 жыл бұрын
@@lovesdogs8616 Yes Fluoride can help ONLY using it topically on the teeth, just don't over do it. The main way Fluoride is effective is it's highly toxic to bacteria that damage teeth with acids. It also works by donating electrons, BUT getting excessive fluoride in your blood deactivates enzymes involved in bone synthesis. So too much will actually encourage decay and inhibit new bone formation in the pulp tissue. However if one is toxic in fluoride it may stop new bone formation, but will still keep bacteria in check so some may still see a positive results as it's related to the teeth even though they have stopped proliferating. The big issue with fluoride toxicity is compact bone elsewhere in the body and developing diseases such as osteopenia or osteoporosis. It's best to use a fluoride-free toothpaste/power and a separate high fluoride mouthwash rinse so one can control exactly how much fluoride you're using and when, because brushing the teeth happens too often and one more than likely will absorb too much fluoride: www.etsy.com/listing/1195891113/eucellus-enamel-enriching-remineralizing?click_key=10b4976b61609a8ab318ada9250789de4b27a41a%3A1195891113&click_sum=d3bad7d3&ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=toothpowder&ref=sr_gallery-1-1&organic_search_click=1&frs=1

Our dentist joked and said he always leaves a little decay behind as it’s his down payment on his sons (private) education... very tactless of him but he has been a good dentist in spite of it for my son who had his teeth and jaw butchered when younger by a state hospital dental surgery when I was a student. They pulled 8 teeth in one go , no follow up care, lots of issues with teeth since. He had an accident with a garden seesaw and it hit him in the mouth cracking some teeth. These should be standard procedures .. some older folks lungs expand after they are fitted cracking teeth too.

So true!!! I’m in braces with impacted canines. 3 dental cleanings ago I had a dentist tell me that I was losing bone around one of my canines and that there was a chance I’d need a support, lose the tooth or need an implant. This dentist made it seem severe so I had the X-rays sent right over to my orthodontist and after that my orthodontist didn’t do any adjustments for months and months and just let the tooth fall on it’s own. This really put me behind in my treatment and the reason I’m in braces for almost 5 years 😫 I think he was afraid that moving the canine was causing bones loss and I don’t blame him. Fast forward to my most recent X-ray and this new dentist tells me that he sees nothing concerning. I was confused so I told my orthodontist and he said “that’s because the bone grew back”. So yes, bone can grow back because it happened to me. The body is amazing in what it can do. 🙏🏼

Medicare will use any excuse to not pay. When I was to have dental surgery on a very bad and complicated tooth, the dentist told me Medicare would only pay for stitching up the hole left behind after all was done. As he put it "Medicare does not like holes in the mouth". If Medicare would pay for dental procedures, a lot of health problems in the body could be avoided over time.

I am getting LANAP done tomorrow, December 17, 2020. I have hardly any plaque, but the gum disease is deep where I can't brush. It has progressed to where some of the charting numbers are now sevens, even though I brush several times a day and floss every day. I haven't missed a day of brushing or flossing for years. I have sensitivity which I thought was because of cavities, but on x-ray, there are none. You can really see the bone loss on the x-rays, up to 70% bone loss in some areas. I also have a gap between my front teeth which is getting wider. Originally, I was going to get root planing, but backed out of that because I didn't want to go through the pain and long process of many visits to treat different areas. I can let you viewers know how LANAP went if you are interested.

@@lidyakebede4377 LANAP yesterday took 2 1/2 hours: Measurements, lots of freezing, laser, scraping and laser again. After the freezing wore off, there was quite a lot of throbbing pain, so I took pain medication. I took a total of 3 pills but slept well. Today, there is no pain, just tenderness. My gums look like Dracula's, but that's normal. I have to be on a liquid diet for three days, followed by a mushy diet for three days and then a soft diet to allow the gums to heal. I have to take antibiotics for 10 days and use Peridex mouthwash twice a day. I have to go back to get my mouth guards which will stabilize the teeth as they heal.

@@nealjones84 The total cost was $4144.00 CAD. That is $789.00 for each quadrant and the rest is for the upper and lower mouth guards and lab fees. My previous estimate for root planing with another dentist who does not do LANAP was going to be $837.00, but that was just the start. It sounded like a painful and drawn-out process. I pay for a benefits plan, so periodontal services are covered. Today, I am allowed to eat mushy food. By Christmas, I will be able to eat soft foods, but that doesn't really matter because it is going to be a COVID Christmas, not a proper Christmas.

I'm sure many people can't afford this. Prevention is so important. Some people may get periodontal disease no matter what they do but take precautions. Brush carefully and don't use whitening or abrasive toothpaste. Firm brushes are bad. Vitamin C is very important for healthy gums. Also, if you smoke, you're asking for problems. Don't forget flossing either.

@@davidansty6450 From what I understand the Laser takes care of the gum infection and the bone regrowth is the result of this approach being successful. Hi doctor, writing from india. 21 years old, I have been to dentist for my treatment,after analysis, Dentist told me I have periodontitis what a 35 years old would have. He did scaling bunch of times on a week interval. I have got good result in my incisors and canine but not for the m and pm. He straight away suggested me to go for flap surgery considering my already worsen case. Question: does the disease get transfer from infected to healthy gums ? Thank you for all the breathtaking information you post. Will be in debt for ever. Just gonna have my surgery after a bit of time.

Taking Ionic Boron improved my teeth, gums and jaw bone rather quickly. 30 years ago I had surgery and cadaver bone grafts-- upper and lower-- to save my teeth. At age 64 I began supplementing with Ionic Boron and I experienced dramatic improvement. Chemicals applied to farm soil blocks the uptake if this important mineral into plant foods, so Americans tend to more deficient than people from many other nations. Pills don't work as well as the Ionic (liquid) form-- just 1/2 tsp daily added to water. After awhile you can take a second dose later in the day. Avoid taking too much or you will feel awful. It also aids in remineralizing cartilage in joints and reversing bone loss throughout the body. And it costs very little. I wish my many dentists had told me about this, but their ignorance of mineral nutrition is shocking.

Don't forget that clenching your jaw makes your gums recede too. I was always annoyed with dentists who accused me of using hard toothbrushes, because I have so much gum recession. Yet I've used a SOFT toothbrush for years! Then I found out my habit of clenching my JAW makes gums recede.

Renee, after years of clenching and using mouth guards i had a removal of an unnoticed infection in a crown. Clenching ended. You may be reacting to pain. Research Berberine supplements if you wish to try something first. See advertisement from Steel Bite Pro for more education on supplements.

@@snsmystic , I kept asking for a tooth in front of it to be ground down, until no touching, then still couldn't chew there for pain. No xray proof. Filling came loose on bad one maybe, no proof. No crack on electron microscope seen at removal time , but reported to dentist as positive. All grinding ended day of removal. PS. You can cut gums by hard brushing with a soft brush along gum row.

Hello Dr. Nemeth - thank you for sharing this interesting information. Is there any evidence that this procedure can be effective over multiple years for more "horizontal" bone loss cases? The examples you showed seemed to be more focused on single-tooth use cases. I was wondering if there was any hope for people who may have experienced some bone loss and gum recession due to bruxism that went untreated for a period of time.

I had significant bone loss in my upper front tooth line. (military injury). In 2002 an oral surgeon filled in the gaping space with cadaver bone. (Yes, that's dead human bone). Few months later the cadaver bone fused with my own remaining bone to build up enough density to have 4 implants put in. Today, nearly twenty years later, there's been some bone loss to area. This laser procedure might be perfect for me. Looking into it.

I had a bone graft on my upper jaw in 2004. When my dentist was putting my last implant in, he cracked my jaw bone. Eventually the bone graft has almost completely desolved. I've wondered if there is any procedure that would grow my bone back. Would something like this be of help to me? I'm in Utah. Do you know of any dentists out here that do what you do? And would this be medical or dental insurance coverage or both or neither? It is like sm answer to prayer to find this. Thank you for any info you can give me!

I was just diagnosed with that very issue on 5/20/2021 by an Endodontist. He has reported back to my Dentist that they should pull the tooth. The tooth is exactly what you described in your first example. The tooth is the front tooth of a bridge, lower jaw and if they pull it, I will have a two tooth gap because I cannot afford an implant. Is this an affordable solution or am I just screwed? I live in the Phoenix AZ area. Is this a dental procedure that's offered here as well? Thanks Doc for sharing this information and I hope to hear from you.
