You just keep picking leaves as you need and it keeps growing until the warm season hits and the plant goes bolting/flowering. It really depends on your weather condition/temperature. Glad you found it helpful and thank you for your comment!

Hi! I bought some seedlings in pots but they are very cramped. Should I replant them and spread them out, snip off some stems to thin them out, or just replant them as they are in a bigger pot? Super grateful for any advice, thanks!
@TowardGarden
@TowardGarden 27 күн бұрын
Hi. Probably the seedling have been in pot for too long so replant them as soon as possible. Crowded seedlings won’t make the lush growth desired for fresh leaf harvests and will form seed heads too early. So thin them and space groups of 2 or 3 seedlings if needed. remove any damaged or dying stem/leaves. Hope this helps. Happy growing and thank you so much for your comment!

Can you plant Dill seeds in A pot mixed with other herbs seeds? Or does it require alot of space to grow on its own?
@TowardGarden
@TowardGarden Жыл бұрын
If your pot is big enough (12-14"), sure you can. It depends how big you want the plants to grow. If is too congested, you will have small plants but it is definitely possible. Happy growing.

What dill sort are you growing? I planted dill here in Sweden two months ago but they are growing vertically.I’m not sure if it has to do with how I planted them but they look totally different.

This variety is called "Mammoth" which grows more bushy. Not sure if it was the variety you planted or lack of light that the plants are growing tall. I suggest to cut the top of the tall stems so it will grow from side shoots. Hope this helps and thank you for visiting.

I was wondering if it's too late in the season to plant Dill seeds in Houston Tx today's date is 03/22/23? I've been waiting for Spring time to plant them but since it's Houston TX IDK if it is possibly to late since in April and May we usually get in to the 80's and sometimes 90 degrees F°

I'd say go for it. If it gets too hot, move pots into shade. Worst case they will go flowering/bolting which for dills the flowers are very beautiful too. you will still be able to harvest some fresh leaves. Happy gardening and thank you for getting in touch!

@TowardGarden
@TowardGarden 7 ай бұрын
I am not sure if you can grow plants from store bought dills. But there are short and dwarf varieties that grow great in small containers. Check Fernleaf Dill www.superseeds.com/collections/dill/products/fernleaf-dill or Teddy www.johnnyseeds.com/herbs/dill/teddy-dill-seed-3293.html . For baby leaf, just harvest them early when they are young. Hope this helps and thank you for visiting!

Can't tell without knowing details. I am guessing something is going on in the soil effecting the roots. Maybe moving to a new soil with added fertilizers would help. Hope your plant will thrive.
