@@kill3008 yes. Use balm to gently remove mascara. Use a GOOD curler and watch videos on how to curl them gently. Just baby them and it’ll be fine! I use a castor oil based serum at night. Keeping them strong helps so much

Haha, love this. The length of your eyelashes are determined by your genes, prior to your birth. There is nothing you can DO to GROW them longer, (or thicker, or curlier). Dr Dray is giving advice to avoid damaging what you have got already.

The trick is to use castor oil + Vaseline! It works like magic! You'll see a huge difference, mine are super long now because of this routine I do it twice a day

Castor oil has been shown in all studies on its efficacy not to actually grow the hair, it just costs it making it look thicker and longer. It also has moisturising properties which can make hair look “conditioned. Because you’re applying it everyday you think it’s lengthening the lashes but it’s just hydrating them at the most and coating them at the least.

I stopped using eye lash curlers years ago and I don’t loose as many lashes anymore I can say this is true. I also never use waterproof anymore because many of my lashes use to fall out trying to get it off.

The problem is waterproof mascaras are the only ones that will keep a curl for short straight lashes. Highly frustrating.

Have you tried cleaning with oil? You don’t use waterproof mascara or eyeliner? Isn’t it better to use a waterproof eyeliner so it won’t smudge? Most mascara is waterproof. Do you recommend a using a clear one?

I need to curl them and use waterproof mascara in order for the curl to hold all day. People think my lashes are fake when I wear mascara. I'm super careful when removing the eye makeup and use an oil balm type of cleanser first. Been doing this since middle school and I'm 37 now

I’ve been an esthetician for 24 yrs and I’ve never seen it “damage” them to the point it made them weak or fall out. It’s less damage than curling them everyday.

I don’t do any of those things…and they are still sparse. Never quite fully recovered after chemo. It has been 6 years so it is the new normal. In search of the great mascara! That does not run, smudge or flake, lasts all day and nourishes.

Honestly give the new Wayne Goss mascara a try. While it is waterproof, I find it comes off very easily with balm, or oil remover. It’s beautiful!

First of all, congrats on beating your cancer! 🥳 Second, I would recommend trying the Thrive Causemetics Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara. I’ve trying so many mascaras as they always smudge, but this one doesn’t. It’s also very easy to remove with just soap and water because of the tubing formula. Hope this helps!!

I think some peoples lashes just naturally grow a bit longer/thicker. Mine have always been short, light and sparse and I only sometimes wear mascara and never do the other stuff. Meanwhile some people look like they’re wearing makeup and it’s natural.

I was naturally born with long and super thick eyelashes, so i never put mascara on. One day i wanted to try, and my lashes were to long (at least for me) and they felt really dry. I remember some of my friends used mascara when they were 11 I think, and now they're lashes are super dry and just... no. So from my experience, and my friends experience, just don't wear mascara, or only wear it like 2 days a week if you don't want your lashes to dry up

Indeed thyroid problems are bad for lashes! I had a partial thyroidectomy 10 years ago...my lashes are very short and sparse. Now that I am 64, my lashes are turning gray! A girl just can't win!! 🥴🤷‍♀️

Omg I use the ordinary caffeine eye solution and it really curls your lashes without damaged! Caffeine is also great for skin and hair! Just be careful and make sure you don’t get it in your eye. Afterwords I typically use Vaseline on my lashes to moisturize them!:)

I'm a skeptic, but I gave pure castor oil a try to grow my barely visible lashes and I can safely say, its worked wonders! I know dr dray said in a video that castor oil probably doesnt work but it really helped me. I must say though we're a family with quick hair growth so that could be it but I've never visibly seen them grow this long before!

Dr Dray is very anti lash serum. In medicine, the philosophy is "do no harm," so they're gonna be conservative in their recommendations. To her, the benefits of a lash serum don't outweigh the cons, but for a lot of girls they're willing to take the chance on irritation. So basically she's only going to ever tell us to leave them alone as if that'll magically grow our lashes (I went like a year without makeup during covid and it didn't grow my lashes one bit). Prescription Latisse works, but you have to look into side effects to see if it's worth it to you

I have short thin blonde lashes and i have invested in a good lash and brow serum and it does wonders! 🤗🤌 they don’t fall out at all and have grown twice the length and are much fuller. I always remove mascara at night with cleansing balm then apply serum. During the day i do use a lash primer and curl them but i waited about 2 months to start curling after starting the serum when they were much stronger and fuller. Just FYI cuz i was skeptical of growth serums. Some of them really do work. Also castor oil is a natural hair stimulate that can be used on eyelash eyebrow and scalp to promote quicker and healthier growth.

Funny enough, I got into the habit of moisturising my eyelids, eyebrows and lashes (I do this with a wand that I had never used from my brush set) after my entire PM routine. After two days, I noticed that my eyebrows appeared fuller and my lashes were more pronounced. I used a combination of organic Jamaican castor oil, rosehip and argan oil.

There is a way to grow them longer - get a lash serum, that’s all you need. I used to use grande lash, now I’m using babe lash. Both are amazing and work! I guarantee it👍🏼 use it every night and in 2 weeks you’ll start to see results 👀

This video wasn't helpful or informative. She didn't tell you how to grow them. She told you to do nothing with them!!! To make your lashes grow longer use a eyelash Serum for that purpose. Also what I use that REALLY WORK'S is Lumigan!!! My Eyelashes grow so long and so fast, that I literally have to use scissors to cut them back, every few months. Because they rub up against my glasses that I wear!! ❤ I get 2# or 3# Bottles from my Ophthalmologists office, when I go to my yearly Eye Doctor Appointment! I use another Eye Drop for My pressure in my Eye's! He just gives me these, because he knows what I use it for 😂! I put a Drop on my mirror, then I use a tiny Lipstick Brush ( never used on my lips! ) I dip the Brush in the Drop of it, and swipe it across my Eyelashes TOP and BOTTOM once a Day, mostly at Night before I go to Bed! If You don't see a Eye Doctor, maybe have a Friend who does get You some! Just for People without pressure problems, just use it on your Eyelashes ONLY, don't get ANY in your actual Eye! My Eye Doctor said even IF someone accidentally does get it in their Eye, that it won't hurt them anyway, for no more than the tiny swipe across the Eyelashes! 😂 THAT IS HOW YOU GROW YOUR EYELASHES!!!
