I really enjoy the straightforward simplicity of your videos. Thank you. I'd like to know your zone and when you are planting.

So glad you enjoy the videos. I am in zone 9b. Since the notes I include are general instructions and not for a specific location, I am hesitant to include the starting time for my zone. But I try to mention the temperatures to start in my videos so everyone can figure out depending on their growing condition. For example, I usually start oregano in Dec-Jan time, but I am sure for many this is to cold to start. Hope this helps. Happy gardening and thank you so much for your comment.😊

Quick question, do oregano seeds have to be grown as a community at first or can they be grown in singular starter plots? (Similar to how your marigold seeds started in your one video)
@TowardGarden10 ай бұрын
You may grow them in plugs too, but since the seeds are so tiny, I found it easier to just sprinkle them on a flat tray. Just make sure not to cover seeds deep. Happy growing and thank you for getting in touch!

The oregano hates me. I can't get my seeds past that initial sprout. Is it because im trying to grow them outdoors?
@TowardGarden Жыл бұрын
Not sure what exactly goes wrong without seeing it. If you put them outdoors after germination, don't expose them to direct sunlight, specially hot midday sun. Put them in part-shade until they are stablished. Hope you will have a better results this time. Thanks for visiting.

Can someone explain me why my oregano looks weak with small leaves, even I ordered the same seeds? 🤔
@TowardGarden20 күн бұрын
Probably either they are not getting enough light, they are very crowded, or you need to start fertilizing the soil. Move them to a place with more sunlight and start feeding them with water soluble fertilizers such as fish fertilizer. Hope this helps and thank you for visiting.
@Carminin_Cider20 күн бұрын

When you transplant them like this, do they not damage the roots when you’re ripping them apart like that? First time planting oregano here and I’m starting my seeds in those seedling cell pods.
@TowardGarden8 ай бұрын
There are plants that are very root sensitive and you don't want to damage roots, like pumpkin, cucumber,.... But not oregano. some plants like oregano are ok and don't mind being separated from roots. They thrive and grow normally. But ofcourse you want to be as gentle as possible.
