I will show you real footage from my home gardens, my experience growing a specific plant. I show you planting from seed, feeding, harvesting, problems I've experienced, and how I use it in the kitchen. You will not find another gardening / food channel who shows you the information you will find in my How to Grow videos. I hope you find the videos helpful and enjoy watching them. They include lemongrass, cilantro, parsley, scallions, spinach, carrots, peas, and many more.

Here in the Uk growing oregano isn't a problem but getting rid of it is! It is now in the lawns and between paving slabs -absolutely everywhere. I left it to flower because the honey bees adored it and now I am paying the price.

We lived in Southern California for over 35 years before moving to Ohio. The town we lived in was close to two military bases and also had a very high population of legal immigrants, but also many undocumented Spanish-speaking people from Mexico and South / Central America. A wonderful woman I had the pleasure of knowing would call it Marjoram or just Mexican Oregano. She taught me how to cook some really wonderful dishes. She has passed away now and we have relocated to Central-eastern Ohio for our senior years. I will always have fond memories of her and her large family, as well as many other friends and family we left behind. The one thing that you failed to cover enough of in your video was that oregano is very medicinal as a tea, a tincture, and also as an oil. Thank you so much for sharing all of your knowledge and time with all of us. You are appreciated very much. May God Bless you always.

Very well done video. No nonsense and great info and production. I’ll be growing a lot of herbs for the first time this year. I’ve been taking oil of oregano as a supplement for years now. It is unbelievably medicinal and effective. And of course I cook with it. Be nice to grow it myself! Thank you 🙏

This is an excellent video! Very thorough. I just started growing oregano this year (Zone 7) and I purchased a plant that tastes amazing! I'm propagating a stem in water (for the first time) and will try the root idea as well. It is literally an herb that I eat daily, and my pups love a bit in their food as well.

Great video! It's November 2021, and I'm confident in starting my seeds right now. I plan to start them indoors in plastic gallon milk containers, and acclimate them to outside in fairly cold to warm weather. By March, my plants will be well on their way. Some plants start well in these jugs outside over winter in northern states if they are out of the cold dry wind, in their mini greenhouse, and they grow strong roots.

Thanks for your video, always great information! I need to start some myself. I purchased some Lemon grass from the store, and put it into water as it was looking very dry, and forgot about it, then noticed there are roots growning on most of the stems...? What when and how should I plant them up....?
@RainbowGardens
@RainbowGardens 5 жыл бұрын
Wait until after your last frost and put them in a sunny area. If you have a place by a downspout, that would be good too. Lemongrass is very tolerant of poor soil too, but I would let them root down in a good potting soil mix before transplanting Did you see my video on growing it?
