Video Summary: 1) Stop wearing bonnets without tying a scarf down first because the elastic band of the bonnet shifts as you sleep and takes hair with it 2) Eat nutritious foods, don’t overdose on supplements! Consult with your doctor about what you need first! Eating a variety of foods helps to increase your vitamin and nutrition intake. 3) Moisturize your edges just like you do your ends because those hairs are old too! Water it, not just oils! 4) Stop wearing tight hairstyles!! You shouldn’t feel tension around your hairline, take it down immediately. 5) Leave your edges/hairline out when doing styles or wear your hair loose and let it breathe from time to time. 6) When adding extensions, the hair extension shouldn’t be more than the amount of your natural hair you’re using to extend; attaching an amount of extended hair that’s more than your actual hair will weigh your real hair down. 7) Use ginger and Jamaican black castor oil; both help to revitalize dead or dormant roots, especially ginger. Do a patch test of ginger first, just in case. 8) BE CONSISTENT, BE PATIENT. You can’t just do one of these steps alone either!💕

I have experienced that for the past few months, but after Ihave released what cutting my edges I started to purchased the bonnet that has no elastic, and now my edges are growing back again and Ihv stopped doing hairstyle that are pulling my edges, I always leaving my edges out Idont even make baby hair on them I just set them free that works for me.every morning I make sure that I do scalp massage thrue my edges and keep them moisturized. 💯.Lot of love dear May God bless you always. 🙏Jesus loves your all💗🙏😘

I will love to give the ginger and castor a try. But can one use other oils such as olive oil, coconut oil, avocado oil etc instead of castor oil, because castor oil is too thick for my hair and doesn't absorb easily to my hair
@LilianOkibe4 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure if any other oil works like castor oil. You do not need to apply too much, a little goes a long way.
@rfinna80294 жыл бұрын
You can dilute it with another great oil so it will not be thick, but also if you use blend the ginger and use the juice of the ginger it will dilute the castor oil so it want be too thick.

hello. i just really started watching your videos and i feel so sorry for my hair! asides that, i have started the ginger routine and i can not wait for a change in my edges. I do this about three times a week. While I apply this, I will have to wash my hair afterwards. Is it advisable to wash my hair three times a week? You also mentioned that it is advisable to leave your hair alone for like a month or so. If i continue the ginger routine and keep washing my hair three times a week without braiding or twisting my hair, wont my hair become difficult to manage and even cause breakage as i will not be able to easily lock my ends?
@LilianOkibe4 жыл бұрын
Hello dear, I am so excited for you. 🤗🤗🤗 If you are using the ginger in form of oil or mist, you do not have to wash it off. Washing the hair with shampoo 3 times a week may be too much. However, if you are cowashing or rinsing with just water, that's fine. Just make sure that your hair gets dry and stays dry for at least 24hrs before you rinse again. I said to leave your hair loose 90% of the time (if your edges are very fragile). Keeping your hair moisturised and clumped when worn loose would help reduce tangling and knotting. You can wear your hair loose in styles like twist outs, braid outs, wash and go's etc. You need to pick a style that would fit into your routine. So if you want to continue washing (rinsing with water or cowashing) 3 times a week, then the best style option for you would be wash and go's. Doing braid and twist outs would mean rebraiding 3 times a week and that may be too much manipulation. I hope my comment guides you in creating a routine that works best for you. ♥️♥️♥️

Hiiiii how can I deal with the knots and split ends in my hair I really want my hair to grow thicker and long
@LilianOkibe4 жыл бұрын
Seal your ends with shea butter (this helps to prevent knots), moisturise regularly (this would have it easier to undo the knots), trim frequently (this would help to get rid of knots that you cannot undo). ♥️♥️ For me, incorporating aloe vera into my regimen helped to make my hair less prone to knotting.

That is a myth. Yes it is possible to experience breakage when you wear your hair loose (if you are not taking care of it properly) but that is not a general rule.
