How can the final solution possibly be clear when there is oil mixed in? Doesn't mixing in oil make the final solution milky even though it's only 1% oil? Is the result you are showing without the added oil?
@deealicemoton9163 жыл бұрын
Right....I have tried twice thinking something would magically happen to turn it back clear but it didn't happen. Didn't think it would, just wanted to see.. I suggest just leaving the oil out and making a moisturizer to compliment the serum
@dn93063 жыл бұрын
@@deealicemoton916 adding essential oils to a gel doesn't make it milky even though the concentration of essential oils could be 0.5 - 1% . I don't know if it's because the essential oils are so volatile and light or if it's simply because the concentration is so low and the cloudiness is therefore barely seen. I'm going to try it again with a regular oil.

Thank you for this video, i have a question, when I add the oil to the formula it takes on a milky color. Is this due to the type of oil I'm using? (Rosehip and/or Squalane) they both turned it milky. I have since ordered Hyaluronic Acid Power from you and will see if in fact it is the quality of hyaluronic I am using. I would love to add oil to my formulation.

The ultra low molecular weight hyaluronic acid penetrates the skin better and is said to be more effective at hydration than the heavier molecules
@dn93063 жыл бұрын
Yes but it also causes inflammation. Source: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31405034/ Anti-inflammatory effects for high-molecular-weight (HMW) HA and pro-inflammatory effects for low-molecular-weight (LMW) HA effects were found for various myeloid cells, including microglia.

loved your video, can you please clear my dout, when everyone is making hyaluronic acid in cold water, why your making in hot water, does is make a difference ?
@EssentialLabsOfficial4 жыл бұрын
Hot water just causes it to gel faster, so I can get a better idea of how thick my serum will be sooner. Cold water, I have to wait (-:
@dn93063 жыл бұрын
Yes it will speed up the thickening process and if the water is hot enough it'll kill at least some of the microorganisms that might be present in the hyaluronic acid powder. You'll still need a preservative though but still...

Hi. Is the Dalton mentioned on the product itself on your website? So can you please mention the Dalton of the one you used ? Is it the hmw one?
@EssentialLabsOfficial4 жыл бұрын
yes we used the HMW in this formula. It gels much more easily than MMW or LMW. So if you chose to use a lower, you might be able to add more to the formula.

could you make a Vit A serum the same way?
@EssentialLabsOfficial5 жыл бұрын
Vitamin A is a fat soluble vitamin so in cosmetics it would be dissolved it in oil. This particular serum is water based with no oils, so probably not a good option for this recipe. You could add beta carotene though, which is a precursor to vitamin A. It’s water soluble and also creates a beautiful color.
