Patrick seems to be one person that speaks my language. I have a lot of acquaintances in my life, but I find myself on a continual basis looking for someone that I can look up to and at the same time be criticized from because he cares. it is hard to find friends that love you enough to tell you what you need to hear

I like the long videos explaining stuff where I write down what Pat says, but I like these 'brotherly' short videos where he gives a nice advice. Thanks Pat, and keep going!

This is why I like Pat. One friend of mine told me that success is as dangerous as failure, and I think it’s even worse if there is no control. Taking the attention to people you serve sounds like a deal. Thanks again

My biggest takeaways: 1. One thing is to attain success, and another completely different is to sustain success. 2. When people start telling you how great you are, take the attention off from you, and place it on the people you are serving (team, clients, family). 3. Be humble. We are all going to transition.

Success is the progressive realisation of a worthy ideal - so you're successful by trying and creating your vision not necessarily reaching the goal but the progress towards it is more emotionally stable

This is why I have never been that very comfortable receiving compliments from friends. I remember back around high school and university, there were a couple silly girls who kept telling me how really cool I was and all that nonsense. Finally I had enough of it and I handled it in such a way that, unfortunately, it has led to the disintegration of the relationship between myself and them. Sad story but it is what it is.
@Whaatever10277 жыл бұрын
bacon wtf? How can you have enough of it? it's a good thing. And if they did it to bother why would you feel sad for walking away from Toxic people.
@ajeyaran17 жыл бұрын
Well to be honest with you, my attitude was really terrible at that time. I definitely could've handled it in a better way but what's done is done now.

Pride precedes a fall, maybe? That's a good point that WHO you take compliments and criticism from is important. I guess it can also be said this way, hang out with people who are where you want to be 60% of your time, spend 30% of your time with people who are where you are now, and 10% of your time with people who look up to you (and that maybe you can help bring up).

Hope I got ya, man you hit it out the park buddy and I hope your laughing 😂 maintain then sustain was a great analogyI asked two older Entreprenuers from my area what was the reason they saw up to 10 businesses between them fail, why there other businesses closed shop and it was amazing! In another round about way it was because they didn't plan and diversify to move from maintain to sustain! They are both great now and I thanked them for there time as I do to you cheers #valuetainment
