Trying not to be that "I know him!" guy but I was on the same team as Alec growing up when he was still a gymnast. I also coach CrossFit gymnastics now. These drills are legit. This is exactly how we trained them in our gym. We would do this warm-up literally every day. Follow this to the "T" and you'll have a handstand in no time :)

I’ve been training handstands for about two years now. I can hold a pretty solid handstand and all the way up to an advance straddle per probably 30 seconds. But I still struggle with consistently kicking it up and holding it. I almost always miss my first couple attempts. From your video I think I learned that this is probably due to muscle tightness and me not warming up enough. I’m going to give this warm up a shot and I already know it’s going to help. Thanks dude

Great video. Also shows people that a straight handstand is tougher than walking on your hands. Jas proved it too 🤣. People think it's the other way round. I also try to add 3x hollow back hold (or rocks) for 30-40 seconds to work on the core with everything engaged and a poly pole. Thanks for sharing Craig.

This is perfect. One of my goals was to gain more skills as an athlete, and one of these skills is mastering the handstand (without the wall). I am now really confident that in the next two months, I am going to nail this!!! I just need a handsome spotter tho.... ^^ . Thanks for posting Craig&Jaz!! Happy 2020 to you too, and I hope you will get your lambo soon :)
