Thx for the tips your videos have given me. Love your help youve given. Please make a video on where to start when learning a language and places to go but without spending money. Im only a highschooler and luckily i have a couple college books in my house for chinese but finding resources as a beginner without any spending cash is demoralizing.

i ge shu : one book (a written work, no matter how many pages or actual volumes) ; i ben shu : one book (a volume or a notebook).
@MandarinBlueprintАй бұрын
I haven't heard the expression 一个书 used before, so you might want to double check that with a native speaker. The latter part about 一本书 is correct.

@@MandarinBlueprint Some Chinese (but Mandarin is their second language) said to me that ge can prefix about anything but that the resulting meaning generally differs somehow from the most usual measure words. Ge tends to make the object counted into a personified being, an enjoyable unit or a logical entity. Ge with animals tends to humanize them. It is like saying a paper in English doesn't tell anything about the number of pages but only of either an article or a periodical. House (Jia) with ge is more a family or a company as Chinese told me. You must put the quantifier to mean the house building.

For westerners the natural sounding chinese pronounciation is extremly difficult.
@MandarinBlueprint10 күн бұрын
I completely understand! Mandarin pronunciation can be challenging. The good news is that with practice and the right techniques, it gets easier over time. Focus on mastering the tones and sounds gradually, and don't worry if it feels tough at first-consistency is key. You can start here : kzbin.info/www/bejne/fJ3Ee2RoqdKnq5Y
