Good to see you making do with the torch rather than waiting until you can get a new iron. Sometimes we have to make do with what is at hand. Good tips with the alligator clip and spacing the splices. Thanks.

It’s one of those “necessity is the mother of invention” scenarios. I had to do it on a boat a long time ago and an old deckhand showed me that trick.
