Thanks for the video!🥰 I have two problems. 1. Is when the players are at their back field they always switch the side with low or medium range short passes, but I noticed that they are not using ping..but rather the inside of feet to pass the ball, yet the ball move quite far and it doesnt look like they use any power(just like your video, very causual). But when i did it, it seems that the ball doesnt travel far(e.g. not even 30m) and it slowes down at the last ten meters even when i hit it hard. Do u know why? 2. Also, when i watch games in EPL, I always see how easy they kick the ball far (but they dont use ping sometimes), but rather just do clearance when they were in a hurry or like kicking a corner kick with also the inside of the foot. Do i need ping to make the far fly far and high, or can i also curve it like corner kick

Hi Michael, thanks for your questions. I will try my best to answer. Before I do - understand the best football players have mastered the techniques of many many skills due to 1000s hours practice and this is then coupled with their physical condition. When you combine these things you produce things the average person can not achieve. So what you are seeing on TV is a lot of the time simple things you could do but x100 in quality and done under pressure. So try not to compare too much what you are doing to the pros - always realise your current level and capability (which can always get better but in time) 1) These pros have the mastered the technique and do things quicker and with more force. It is that simple. They can achieve things that to most casual players seems like they do it differently but its not necessarily the case its more they do it finer tuned and with more physical ability. 2) There is a lot of physics involved in sport. The ping is a technique that simply allows the ball to travel faster as it shoots off foot quicker. A curling pass/cross is done to achieve exactly that (curl - ball spin) to get around objects but to achieve curl you must lose out on distance etc etc. The pros are simply making very very quick decisions base don the situation they are x the technique they feel will get best outcome at that moment.

@@WantTheBall Dear sir, thanks for the prompt reply. Why I am a bit confused is that seems like when people are doing like clearance. They are not approaching the ball from 45 degree. Sometimes they approach the ball 90degrees and need to kick the ball in 90 degrees to clear it up field. Or when doing e.g. early cross, they rather curl the ball in, but when the curl is mistaken or a poor one, it sometimes overhit( which means it can travel very far). Even though a bad crossing is not prefereed, but to be honest When I see people doing it(even for female soccer) i just envy them, For me 65meters is already very far, i can never overhit the ball and most of the time the ball will not leave the ground when i kick it, i really dont know why, but when the ball is bouncing or when someone pass me the ball, i can kick it quite far, i wonder if its my power or technique. I hope in the future you can teach how to do a clearance upfield or crossing to the back post sometime when you are free. Thanks again for the answer!🥰

Do I need to strike downward on the ball for backspin?
@WantTheBall
@WantTheBall Жыл бұрын
Thank you for question. In general, I want you to imagine how we create any kind of spin on a ball. Take spinning a basketball on the finger - to get it to go one way horizontally we brush the ball on side in that direction. So if you want backspin this is vertical rotation. In tennis players get topspin by stroking ball over the top. For this football pass we need the opposite vertical rotation so the brush contact needs to come down on ball which is obviously very difficult when the object sits on the ground. So the contact hits middle 'ish' point and moves down on the ball towards bottom point. Hope this helps.
