I got a great tip from an old timer that worked well for me. If you get poked by the spines of a rockfish, rub the slime from the tail on the sight and it kills the pain. I’ve done this on a number of occasions and it worked well. Thanks for all the tips you’ve given here, greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the tips and especially the Olaf break! I just bought my first rod and reel and want to go fishing for the first time very soon. I'm learning so much from your channel!

Psst..... 2/19 looks good Half Moon Bay. Friends and I will be out of P P and to the southeast. Got a waypoint set where we nailed the dungeness and a ton of rocks. 2nd shark shield use will be in effect. Just totally adds to the comfort level creating a 15' bubble of safety ;-) Watching your other videos where you leave the fish in the water off the metal clip reminds me of the Monterey video where the guy's kayak was not only hit, but darn near destroyed. He had to swim for it and got picked up by a sailboat. Okay I've said too much. :-) If you're out there and don't have to WORK...be sure to pedal by.

Late start, we ended with 3 dungee and 3 HUGE rocks. My dungee was HUGE and my buddy got a couple nice ones. Wind picked up early and ruined the crabbing. :-( Half Moon Bay go figure.

Dang, sorry to hear about the slow day. I was there last weekend for the latest vid. I got 4 dungies and 2 big rocks. Not lights out but not too bad for only a 3 hour soak.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink.
