You hit on one point I may be struggling with. It may be fact that I am pushing it away and pulling it back. I always feel as if I’m holding onto an object 15 pounds or more. And I do believe this is why I struggle to ask you to keep your hand relaxed and when I do so I always feel as if I’m going to lose the ball the more I relax my hand the worse it feels. The less I try to use grip pressure the more I tend to use grip pressure

Appreciate the video. Even tho Im a few years late. This is by far the #1 thing I struggle with. A number of coaches have yet to break me out of delaying my push away. Im guessing im going too far out as my wrist eventually breaks at its furthest point. My swing then gets delayed by my wrist rolling down rather than my arm coming back. Leads to very late timing and just horrible bowling. Looks so simple too. But man it is not simple at all. Im a different bowler when I get it right, just never stays right. Again, thx for posting this information.

Number one thing I struggle with in terms of consistency, so important and so easy to be neglectful of. Can’t wait for Ep. 5! Great job Chayton!

I use to have a 5 step approach when I started bowling, 20 yrs ago I was advised to go to a 4 step. I want to go back to a 5 step. Question is, how difficult will it be to keep my timing on track?
@ChampionshipBowling2 жыл бұрын
Shouldn't be too hard! You want to push off on the same step regardless. With 5 steps you just add an extra half step before

Any tips for bowling multiple days a week how to keep your hands from hurting so much aka my thumb
@ChampionshipBowling5 жыл бұрын
Try and get the thumb to be as comfortable as possible. Other than that, I have calluses on my thumb and it gets torn up all the time. It's almost twice the size as my left thumb. I oval my thumb hole a lot to get it to fit exactly.

If I stand on 22 board, inside of left foot on 22, 21 board showing, target is 10 board, second arrow, the strsight push away would cause the ball to go over the 17 board?

The direction or shoulders are pointing is going to dictate launch angle . We want the swing to be straight but turn our body so thay the straight swing is down the intended line.
