@mutant01772 жыл бұрын
I like this entry a lot because you can use it in the chaos of a fight without the need for a good timed block with the arm (which will be very difficult to do) AND it is very possible that you have done damage with the first impact and can follow up. It was a very nice seminar - highly recommended!
@alexmousley72138 ай бұрын
Indeed, it's very realistic- simple and requires no fine motor skills- I like the combined block/attack- when I did Ju Jitsu we learnt that all blocks are blows designed to damage as well as to block. But I like this style of street protection for the universal moves and simplicity.
@mutant01778 ай бұрын
@@alexmousley7213 I agree - in the first moment it almost sounds like it is too easy. But you have a kind of one-size-fits-all solution at least for the first contact. I also do sparring in krav maga class and I can tell you, you loose timing and reflexes very fast (2 months without training and you suck). But it is logical because in the boxing range you are highly dependend on this skills. Long story short - this blitz tactics alone will give you a lot of benefit.

Thanks for your service, Mike. The UC program is so good because it is so real world practical, removes the BS, knows it’s ‘me,me,me,me,finish’ and not some series of movie moves that will get you hurt or worse, and just gives you the best chance of getting home safe if you are cornered and cannot evade/escape/loophole etc. We must also pay our full respects to Lee Morrison the head of UC.

Indeed. When I did Ju Jitsu (quite a few years ago)- although it's a bit reactive, all the blocks are blows designed to incapacitate the attacking arm, though I like the technique in the video as it is applicaple in many situations and simplicity means it's much more likely to work under stress.

I just started watching your later videos on your channel and I love what you teach, me personally I’ve done bone density training enough that I don’t rely on palm strikes and hammer fists as much but they’re still very useful the one thing I got from your videos that I think really will help people is your level of violence should be above what your aggressors is my approach is somewhat the same as yours but I rely on knees elbows and headbutts as i think it should be the distance you judge the danger from is how you should use your tools great video and I’m looking forward to seeing more of what you teach.

@@schoolofselfprotection I feel like this is a dangerous move, for self defense. I also feel like, if you dont time this perfectly, I see like 10 ways to counter that move while handing out more damage to you, IF you get any damage off on me. Women also should not use that move in my opinion, because only 1% of women would have the power to generate force and enough speed, to do little damage. But it probably works if the opponent has never fought in his life, or he does a stupid mistake while being close.
