I really enjoyed your video. I have a 2016 Corvette Stingray and I have wanted to get the same pieces dipped in carbon fiber (except the mirrors). I also want my rear spoiler dipped as well. Can you provide me with a non- binding guestimate of how much money I might have to spend to get that done? I'd like to get you to do it, but I'll have to see where you're located. I'm in central Georgia. Again great job. You sold me on the hood vent dip. I knew that could have been difficult to do, but you're solution was perfect. Take care and I hope I hear from you soon.

Hi Tim, please send pics of the pieces you want done to: info@liquidconcepts.com. We will be glad to get you a price! Glad you enjoyed the video !!

Hey guys, I bought some material with y’all and I’m just about ready to dip. My question is on dipping a guitar. I want both sides covered but I don’t have a tank long enough for a single dip. How do I double dip without over laying the first dip? Can I mask off the entire back to dip the entire front?
@LiquidConceptsUSA Жыл бұрын
Yes you are correct! You will want to mask off whatever you do not want dipped in the 1st dip. This will give you a straight line. Once dipped you can remove the masking, spray and intercoat clear, mask the previously dipped side and then dip the 2nd side.

Great job Brian you make it look so easy. Top quality film I learned the hard way pay a little more it looks a 100 times better than lower quality films.

Thanks Charlie! Yes indeed there are some films that definitely make the outcome far less desirable!

Great work! Loved the video. Just for interest, perhaps show us the video how you dipped those Mirror covers. Was it a 2 part dip or roll dip? Thanks again.
@LiquidConceptsUSA6 жыл бұрын
Yeah we are working on getting these fixed up for a different video but we will certainly post them up when we get it all finished! Also for your reference it was a roll that we did on the mirror covers.

How do you know what base coat color to use? On your website it says to use white for light gray and u used black in the video. Any reason behind that? Thanks
@LiquidConceptsUSA2 жыл бұрын
Most all films look more vibrant with a white basecoat. Some patterns allow for other color basecoats. Just know, it will alter the look of the pattern on the film. Hope that helps!
@chrisg26194 жыл бұрын
So what if you was to paint the base coat red then dip it in the carbon fiber would the red base show tructhe carbon?
@LiquidConceptsUSA4 жыл бұрын
Yes that is correct but you would need to do a red candy if you wanted a very bright red.
@Crx0183 жыл бұрын
do you absolutely need to scuff or prime parts before hydrodipping ?
@LiquidConceptsUSA3 жыл бұрын
Yes unless your part is ABS plastic you will need to scuff/sand, primer, and paint the item before dipping.

Tips of fingers wouldn't cause mistake areas? I thought one would fix something to hold the piece to keep bare areas left from fingers? Or do you look over those areas and just touch them up?
@LiquidConceptsUSA3 жыл бұрын
On this particular piece none of the area where we are holding it is seen. Only the center section is visible once reassembled. If indeed these areas were seen we would have made a jig, tape tabs, or something to hold from the back side as touching it up in that large of an area would not be ideal with this design.

How long after basecoat do you leave it before dipping?
@LiquidConceptsUSA5 жыл бұрын
When it is dry to the touch then you can dip to it most of the time.

What size sheet of film would I need to dip a 17 inch wheel ?
@LiquidConceptsUSA5 жыл бұрын
You would need at least a 19"-21" wide film and around 23" long or so to dip the front of the wheel completely. That is a little on the conservative end but that should help you out.

I live in Oklahoma city. Where can I get my grille guard dipped
@LiquidConceptsUSA5 жыл бұрын
You may try to check on Google and see if any shops in the area pull up and see if they have a large enough tank to dip something like that in.

How did you dip the mirrors??
@LiquidConceptsUSA5 жыл бұрын
We actually dipped those going straight down into the water if I remember right. The next time we get some mirrors in like that we can try to shoot a video on them!

the plastic door cover handles I want to match the car paint can I blend it with a brown and a Black Metallic
@LiquidConceptsUSA6 жыл бұрын
It would honestly depend upon the exact color of the vehicle. I would recommend getting the paint code off the vehicle and having it color matched so that you know it is going to match exactly.
@joncooper11455 жыл бұрын
but, but what about the part your fingers were covering?? how do you dip that part?
@LiquidConceptsUSA5 жыл бұрын
That part is actually covered by the hood when the vents are installed on the car so we actually didnt need to dip that area, but it was a great way to hold the part to dip the area that is shown.
@usanyc992 жыл бұрын
I watched a lot of your videos but only in this video you are scuffed and primed all pieces before hydrodipping. Can you please explain me why. Example side skirts you did without scuffing and prime . Thanks

My film didn’t fully dissolve I used reducer as activator #buget u think it would work ?if I try again cuz the water was cold and ik it’s supposed to be warm (I sent it cuz it was rushed)
@LiquidConceptsUSA6 жыл бұрын
Isaac I would suggest investing in some actual hydrographics activator and that should solve the issue. The water temp typically affects how long you might have to wait for it to fully activate.

Is there a way to dip non-removable parts from the car?
@LiquidConceptsUSA4 жыл бұрын
Normally not. You have to be able to put the part in the water to be able to dip it correctly. You may be able to wrap it if its not removable.
