Great video!! One question: what are your thoughts on separating words with commas or a dash in the item title? I see quite a lot of shops that don't use any separation and are doing very well on Etsy. Thanks!!

Personally I'm a fan of commas and full stops in an Etsy listing title because its easier to read as a human. You can use dashes or separators too though. The key is to separate them e.g. NOT = blue flower,green flower,red flower but INSTEAD... blue flower, green flower, red flower. Your title is only one area Etsy look for keywords so some Etsy shops who do it terribly will still get views, sales etc because they have great tags or in-demand products in low competition markets.

Hey Sam, great content!! So I opened my Etsy store yesterday and I have 130 products listed in my store with more on the way. I happened to do searches on Etsy for researching purposes. And I saw that a lot of my products are already showing ON THE VERY FIRST PAGES!! in some of my Etsy searches. I haven't gotten any organic sales though but I'm being patient about it since it's my first day. So here's my question, since a lot of my products are already showing on the very first pages in multiple searches, does that mean my SEO is great on those products? So far in my stats, its showing multiple views visits through mainly direct means because I've sent the store link to Fam and Friends. Sorry, this is long winded, I simply wanted to make sure that my SEO is on the right track basically. LOL

You will usually see your own Etsy listings on the first page of the Etsy search results because they are personalised to each shopper. So because you've been looking and interacting with the listings in your Etsy shop then you'll see more of them and see them higher in the search results. This does not necessarily mean that they are ranking well in the Etsy search results as a whole though - especially if, as you've said, you're only getting traffic from direct sources.

Hi! So yesterday, I changed the title and keywords on my listings because I wasn't getting a lot of traffic to my store. I noticed today that I haven't had any views. Does changing the title and keywords mess with the algorithm? If so, will it correct itself after a bit if I leave it alone or do I now need to relist all of my listings? Edited to add that I checked erank to see how popular certain keywords were before I changed the title/tags of my listings.

If you change your information then yes, Etsy have to reindex it within their catalogue re: what search queries it matches with and therefore where to show it. No need to re-list - this doesn't help them do it any faster or better.

Yes this is possible for physical products. You would just need to set-up your shipping profiles to meet these requirements.
