That's something I've learned to deal with a long time ago as a beginner. When I new to boxing, I fought many thugs and tough guy beginners in the ring that had no technique. Adjusting to bad technique is so much easier than adjusting to a clean straight jab.

The best move is the one that fits the situation. I do whatever feels right and most instinctive to me in the moment. The better trained I am, the more I can do. I block when there's no opportunity to counter back. I evade if I want to counter. I get out if I want to get some room to gather my thoughts.

My fighting stats: Speed: 7/10 *I was born with speed* Power: 6/10 Reflexes: 3/10 *I WAS around a 5/10 but then I stopped training my eyes* Feet Movement: 4/10 *Not so great at that either* The thing I wanna learn the most, is my reflexes. There's 4 types of street fighters out in the world. The hay-makers. The Rushers. The Back-Leaners. The Grabbers. *I hate these guys the most..* Yeah, street fighters the ones who throw hay-makers. Hay-makers are kind of like hooks but it's more wide out and you gotta swing your arm. So fighting them is easier. You can see those shits. Hay-makers are so easy to see. And the rushers? The ones who throw punch after punch after punch while moving toward you Those guys all you gotta do is move to the side when they're coming in then hit them with a mean right hand. And the ones who lean back? Give them a nice punch to the stomach a few times to tell them to stand the fuck up. They'll learn soon enough. And the grabbers? Mainly the big guys All you gotta do is stay a distance! STAY A DISTANCE the most important and move around and slip their punches till they get tired, because they're fat and all. Don't let them grab you, when they're tired. Start fucking them up. I know a lot of fighting styles and how to deal with them. The main key to all of them is Reflexes (Slipping) When you learn slipping, then you can beat nearly anyone in a fight. and even fight up to 3-4 people at once.

That's pretty clever stuff. It takes an increased level of sensitivity to know what he's committing to. Another way to go about it is to catch his rhythm and then you'll be able to defend against all his movements, regardless of whether he commits to it or not. So imagine his feint & attack are 2 consecutive attacks and that you have to defend against them both. And then once your skills are better, you'll know not to worry about the feint.

i don't know if this guy is a fighter, but his instruction here & elsewhere are spot on. seeing the flex, position, etc as the punch begins is essential to any type of fighting. you can have all the power, speed, technique in the world, but if you're getting hit all the time because you have no idea where your opponent's strike is coming from & when, your landing nothing.

I just got home from muay thai class a couple hours ago. Sparred my coach 5 times, then we drilled. This was all after warmup. Great class. Didnt have anyone my own skill level to spar, so my lead leg took a battering from round kicks, but I did very well in the boxing - though both of us only landed about 2-4 hits apiece, our defense was so top tier in head defense. Anyway, improved fighting reflexes are gained by time. They are gained by going to muay thai/boxing/kickboxing class every single week twice a week never missing a week if you can. If you want fast reflexes, do that. Peace.

To train the eyes, you either need SPARRING, MITTS, or DOUBLE-END bag. Shadowbox sparring with a partner helps, too. Double-end bag is not as effective as sparring or mitts but at least it gets you used to punching and making contact.

No philly shell vs kickboxers high-guard only. Learn how to tighten up your, guard elbows to rib cage, chindown, hands up,( subconscious defense against head kicks and body kicks) and EXPLODE out of your shell to launce an offense. When you "roll out" HANDS ARE UP to defend against any types of knees and elbows, when you get better you can relax your guard before launching an attack so you wont waste too much energy.

The truth has been spoken. This is the difficult part of boxing or any kind of martial art. How to develop that "awareness" that you just know what move your opponent is gonna make ? Having fast reaction is no biggie. But having the fast RIGHT reaction is difficult. Many boxers , especially counter punchers like Floyd mayweather can read the moves of his opponents and set up a trap for the knock out. Knockouts don't happen by chances or accident, it's all about timing and placement. And those two elements are the hardest to teach.
@MasterFighting10111 жыл бұрын

You can also stay in the boxing stance while boxing a kickboxer ( I box kickboxers all the time just to prove a point.) all you really have to do is learn how dash in and out. expertboxing Hi,man,thnx for the vid,like all the other ones this one was very helpful too,I read a blog of yours yesterday on why boxing stands out as a realistic fighting art,because the training itself is as real as brawling,it helps with the mental conditioning,I agree on every aspect.I have been thinking about getting into boxing from a very long time,I love it,I had a question though.If I train boxing only,then will I be able to defend myself against all kind of punches that I may face from a streetfighter,I mean,things like peekaboo,is based on thick gloves,and dont remain effective when you are bare fisted,are all the boxing defenses effective in the street against any kind of punch,especially when I am barefisted?Are the strategies,techniques and skill that I will be taught and practicing in a boxing gym,will remain effective against barefisted blows.Or should I do another selfdefense system to complement my boxing training?thnx in advance.
@expertboxing10 жыл бұрын
TheAlexmercer360 boxing skills, conditioning, and reflexes, are all definitely very applicable in a bare-knuckled streetfight. You'll see why when you do more boxing. It does transfer over very well. Of course, they can't protect you from everything and all kinds of attacks but it does make a very helpful base for self-defense.

expertboxing Hey man,thnx for repping back,I got a good answer,btw, I got another question this will probably sound stupid,what does it really mean by a GOOD BOXER,does it mean having a lot of boxing fight experiences,if I dont have time for a tournament ,will I still be able to be a good boxer,I mean if I spar hard with quality boxers will I be able to increase my fighting skills,or should I put a heavy emphasis on tournaments,what exactly is the best way to know if my boxing skills are good or not.

This is very true. Yo have to learn the body language which signals a punch otherwise you don't have enoguh time to dodge. I learned this when I was trying to do some defensive drills. @fatdaddysac62726 жыл бұрын
pronob mondal the slap I would treat like a hook, and the hammer I would slip inside and dash forward (unless u have good reach then u could just counter them where u are). The hammer fist is effective and strong but they leave both their body and (maybe) their chin available to counter. At that point, it just depends how fast you are and how good your opponent’s reflexes are.
