I am currently 5’11 250lbs and I work nights as a Police Officer 10pm-6am Friday-Tuesday. I usually try to go to the gym right after I get off by 7am. And still get my 7-8hrs of sleep. What would be the best format for me to properly workout, sleep, recovery, while still doing my job efficiently? Thank you guys so much.

Nice video... Thanks for bringing up the younger generation and how they are taking things younger and younger and then are not really big, and in time could achieve with hard work and dedication. Put in some work before you decide to use whatever I really don't care its your choice but put in some work first. I have trained for going on 25 years. So don't be afraid to put work in because I've seen, and been around plenty of people using and do not look good.

My question is: most bodybuilders talk about lifting for the pump and pumping the blood in to the muscle for growth but they say this at their biggest(as a pro)Did you (before being a professional) use this same technique to gain the huge muscles you have now or did you and most upcoming pros lift beyond heavy weights to gain the muscles and size. Thank you

Hey guys I really like this channel. I just want give my opinion for that old man who wants to lift . Resistance training is very beneficial for neuromuscular control and reverse sarcopenia ,osteoporosis . My edvice for any age training needs to be integrated means all fitness components ( flexibility improves full range of motion decrease muscles sornes and injuries. Core is foundation of the body like a house , work local and global muscles and balance very beneficial for lower extremities strengths (ankle knees hip musculature) plus cardio and SAQ . Any extra weights even is muscles put stress on the joints and body needs more oxygen and blood flow to carry nutrients and hormones for body needs. It has to be balance between sympathetic and presympathtic nervous system meant (fight and flight) AND Rest and digest or feed and breed . And healthy weights with Bmi over 18,5 to 24,99 is healthy weights . Nutrients, low carbs and moderate essential amino acid and essential fatty acid for weight loss because high carbs increase blood glucose and contribute insulin resistance it's hard to lose weight with hight insulin resistance because body adapted to carbs it won't burn fats . Weight gain slightly high carbs moderate protein abd fats to increase insulin because is the one store fats . Old people , they have to work on muscular endurance and strength but nothing too heavy , cables much better for joints or machines than free weights . Good luck to everyone who wants to improve good quality life .

I've got a question on Sucrose. It's used a lot in supplements such as BCAAs & diet sodas as well while latest study shows that if used frequently, it may cause bacteria in ones stomach. Dexter Jackson also confessed on one of the podcasts that he had constant hiccups which was due to extensive use of Sucrose which lead to build up of bacteria in his stomach. So should we or shouldn't we use supplements with Sucrose ?

It sounds to me like the tall guy needs to learn to like food. If he's that tall (not a typo) and that skinny he's simply not eating enough, and weight training alone won't change that. When it comes to age the weight training is exactly the same. Your muscles are the least effected by age. The limiting factor for most is your overall health and mobility. Since flexibility and joints are the first things to go as we age. The good news is that weight training can significantly improve stiffness and joint issues. You just have to start slow. When it comes to PEDs, that strain goes to your internal system which is already reduced due to age. Things such as BP is high on that list. At 60+, you may be 70% of what you were at 30 so you have to keep that handicap in mind. That includes all of your internal system from cardiovascular to endocrine system.

Add more butter to your proteins. Then add fruits and veggies to those meals. The glycemic reaction will be lower to those carbs because of the fat. Add some incline walking into your routine that isn't overly strenuous and get some sleep and the pounds will come off.

Eat more caloric dense foods. Next your gym routine you can knock down to 3 days and just work on the basics squat, deadlift, bench press. Look up a 5x5 program to get a routine then go to work in the gym. Get some walking in (30 minutes) so you don't become out of shape from a cardio standpoint and the mass will come.
