I fu****kin love it. Lol. I was going to put in a selenoid,but now I'm going to do the pull chain and valve for sure.
@eastbayhounds76043 жыл бұрын
Awesome! It is super fun to have the pull chain. It allows you to control the air flow and sound unlike the on/off action of a solenoid. Thanks for watching the vid!
@Cemi_Mhikku6 ай бұрын
4:30 You're gonna want stuff like this to just be on when the truck's on, so just run a wire from the 86 (switched) post on the solenoid to an accessory circuit and let your key be the switch. One less thing to forget. Also one less thing to break.

What a nice old Dodge!! Its big rig time!!!!

Love that old Dodge. I think you need another horn to pair with it, maybe a lower register to truly get that big rig honk, lol
@eastbayhounds76044 жыл бұрын
the_eddies It would be cool to have a second horn but would eat up all the extra space on the passenger side of the engine bay. Maybe there is another spot it could be hidden. I will mention it to Big Block and see what he thinks. Thanks for watching!

Hey man, ya know what, I got a 48 Dodge 1 ton flatbed and she will have some horns, except gonna mount them on the roof like a semi, can't wait, gonna have some semi exhaust and a good ole 350 powering her, maybe one day she get a Cummins and roll coal baby

Where did you get the pull switch from? I’m having trouble finding one
@eastbayhounds76044 жыл бұрын
kolbey bowen The lanyard valve is a Wolo 803-LV. The cheapest I have seen it is on ebay for around $17 with chain, it is also available on Amazon. The link between the chain and valve is weak as seen at the end of the vid but it is easily replaced with any keychain style ring.

Did you use a pressure switch to cut the compressor off ? Or you just doing it by the switch?
@eastbayhounds76043 жыл бұрын
The compressor has a built-in pressure switch. The setup works well and the air delivery is pretty consistent.

Where did you get the pull valve ?
@mikejohnson120 Жыл бұрын
Would you be able to add a pull valve to any Vixen horn set up? Replacing the button with a pull valve is what I mean
@eastbayhounds7604 Жыл бұрын
I am not familiar with the Vixen horn. If there is a valve attached to the horn itself it would need to somehow be bypassed or stuck in the open position. The pull valve will work with any setup as long as it is the only valve in the air line between the air tank and horn.
@mikejohnson120 Жыл бұрын
@@eastbayhounds7604 vixen is pretty similar to hornblasters slightly less expensive. They send out a simple 2 wire momentary button,I was hoping to use an electric pull valve to take its place
@dakotapoirier55424 жыл бұрын
How do you hook up the pull switch I'm very interested in doing it but don't know how they even work
@eastbayhounds76044 жыл бұрын
The pull switch is a simple air valve so all you need is a line running into it from the compressor and the outgoing line goes straight to the horn. You just push the lines on and tighten the metal collars to hold them in place. The part is: Wolo 803-LV. I hope that answers you question, if you have any others feel free to ask!
@mr.nostash30383 жыл бұрын
What are the lines you used for the air
@eastbayhounds76043 жыл бұрын
The setup uses 1/4” O.D. nylon air line. It is the same type used for air brakes on a big rig. You can find it on Amazon and at many auto parts stores.
@lunapsebennarok63092 жыл бұрын
It's called a lanyard valve, unless you're not a trucker/locomotive engineer...
