That brake valve you mounted would've worked better where the air lines T into both sides of the horn base, this way there's less line to be pressurized each time the horns blow. This would also help alleviate the honk-lag as the horns bleed off the air from all the lines.
@craigcross15042 жыл бұрын
drilled on top of the fitting, hope water dont fall from the sky or truck wash. I install the valve instead, so I have 3 working horns. city, air, and train. I have no lag. I didnt drill no holes in no valves. when it comes to real train horns you need volume, to make them loud. if you waste your money to get a chrime shop "train" horn you need pressure not volume to make them loud. pressure would be working your to the smallest possible fitting. volume is running the fatest line to the horns.

The more horns of different lengths, and the higher the air pressure they can handle- the louder it is. On a related note you can find instructions on YT to make your own airhorns out of PVC pipes and common materials and they are loud as I've made them. I have two old Hadley brand semi horns (different lengths) and they're loud AF at 150psi.

Hey Bruce. Maybe you should have got a wholesale deal on those horns and bought a gross ? Then you could retail them through the merchandise outlet and your shop. Same with those bloody annoying LED headlight bulbs. Some of those headlights get ya feeling like throwing a hammer through the headlamp as they are approaching with the mental glare in your eyes. The reason your horns sound like a boat is the length of pipe thats pressurized after the valve. And for that reason they are more frequentlybmounted on the roof above a momentary tap connected to the thong. Good Luck.
