So what do you think of the woven valley? Let me know below!

Shouldn't a Roof Specialist know that you Cannot weave a valley with Double laminated shingles, because they don't seal properly, specifically because of the way there designed. They stopped woven valleys after 3 tab left bud. Your about 10 years behind it's either straight cut valley or metal valley. Go back to school lol and that woven valley isnt stopping no water penetration with all those blow throughs lol

Don’t forget your lace is getting too far out of the center of the valley, run two shingles & it’ll bring it back to the center of the valley. I know this is just for learning but Just thought I’d mention for others trying to learn this valley, it’ll look a lot better if kept in the center. It can get ugly when the valleys are a lot bigger then the one in the video. Other then that good video, Ya got a new sub 👍🏻

I don't quite understand what you're saying. I'm not a roofer so I need help understanding. If I stagger the panels 6 inches, eventually, one panel will start to fall out of the valley. How do I continue on staggering while keeping seams out of the valley?

@@paulmitrano3612 okay so first the lace, do you see where the two shingles cross? See how it’s getting away from the center? When this happens you would run two shingles instead of one to bring where the two shingle cross back to the center of the valley. If it’s running too high left like in the video you would run your right shingles twice then start back weaving normal and this would bring it to the center. When you’re staggering and you eventually get to close the the valley you would simply move the shingle back, you would back step the whole shingle all the way untill you still have a foot out from the center. Then you would start your 6” steps again I hope this wasn’t too confusing if you’re not too sure just lmk which part you’re confused with

You will hate to hear this, but a specialist would know that you cannot do a woven valley on architect shingles. They do not warranty them.

I just found this out, and the roofing company said they are allowed because they use ice and water barriers underneath….I think he’s lying, can anyone confirm.

Yes they will warranty them.@My_Sauce

To ensure the shingles lay flat in valleys and to reduce cracking if walked on in 5-10 years, always push the shingle flat into the valley before nailing.
