Had an old LG ducted system replaced this week. They took apart some roof sheets and a mini hoist to get the old unit out and the new one in.

I'm guessing the water tank is potable water. It's probably more for the garden, so no issue there mate.

@@kenbro2801 me and my old apprentice used to do a ducted in 1.5 days but to a slightly lesser quality. Nowadays it’s more like 3 because my offsider is still learning the trade and our goal is to do everything at a high quality. Plus filming slows things down. What I will say though, I do not care how long it takes and if people can do it quicker, by all means go for it. Im only concerned about the quality of the install. Cheers mate

@@jasongibson4244 thanks mate, appreciate it. Distance from indoor unit definitely influences my decisions however the main reason is I want more volume of air going into living spaces and more L/s of air can be pushed through 12” duct compared to 10” duct. Cheers

Not having a dig but are you not doing an emergency drain pan due to not being able to get it in the roof?

I think you could get one in judging from the the evaporator size after the indoor unit was dismantled. You'd only need to tray the area directly under the evap section with say, 50 mm overlap. You'd feed it in diagonally through the manhole. Of course one would need to measure the diagonal first to determine max width of the tray though.

What is the max ESP (External Static Pressure) for that indoor unit? What is your R value for the insulated flex duct? You drive a long distance for work, even for a good customers client. My max is 30 minutes from home. Professional job guys.
