I put these on my other bike "The Deuce" 2 yrs ago. Never had an issue with them. I put the longer black heat wrap and also used a hair dryer too haha. I also got the black Custom Dynamics led license plate frame that only lights up when you hit the brakes. I only did that because i got hit from behind yrs ago. StreetGlide is staying stock with lights and signals except smoked lenses haha. Streetglides already look ok with stock signals imo. Second time watching your video. It seems to have the most info of the ones I've watched. You were lucky enough to just reroute some existing lines. Unfortunately, the previous owner removed my turn signals completely and I can't find the relay unless it's under the tank. Is there any harm in wiring them into the back turn signals? I was able to locate those wires.
@LifeontheBlacktop7 ай бұрын
I’m not sure where the relay is but were you able to locate the plugs tucked all the way back into the neck like I show in the video? It’s really the best option since these have a BCM and are somewhat sensitive to wiring. It might be beneficial to grab an electrical service manual since you don’t have ANY turn signals and maybe you can somewhat get it back to stock wiring.
@traciort2337 ай бұрын
@@LifeontheBlacktop I was trying not to lift the tank but looks like that is the next step. I think all the wiring was removed when they custom painted the bike. Probably have to wire it all back in from the Main Harness back towards the neck.

@LifeontheBlacktop4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah for the low profile stealth look these definitely fit the bill. That's part of the reason I didn't get the white lit ones with amber turns, so they would be a little more hidden when the turn signals werent on. They'd be great on a chopper that needed signals.

You most likely will need a load equalizer for that bike. The LEDs don't have enough resistance themselves and it messes with the signal. I made my own once from some diagrams I found on the net and some parts from radio shack because they can get a little pricey if you just buy them. Good luck!

At the end of the video I run through a kind of "reset" to program the new ones. You might try that. If not, depending on the year of the bike, you may need a load equalizer. Back in the day on my 05 meanstreak I put LED bulbs on it and they worked but would blink super fast. I had to add a load equalizer to the blinkers to slow them down.
