Thank you for the informative video. I'm considering either the 3M Pro Series 200 PPF (paint protection film) or the XPEL Ultimate Plus PPF. Could you please share your recommendation between the two? Which one offers better scratch protection for the car? Which one tends to have a longer lifespan? Thank you.

This was very informative. However, you only showed how the alcohol solution worked once. After you finished fitting the film, heat gun, etc...is that when you applied the alcohol solution?

The tack solution with the alcohol can be used anytime during the installation when you need to flush out the slip solution and get the edge to tack on faster. If you only use the slip solution, you will find the film might be too slippery and hard to tack down.

I still don't quite understand. Sounds like you don't need to cover the back with tack solution as if gluing it down...you just use strategically where you need it. The film stick to the car otherwise with out it if you squeegee out the slip solution?

The PPF film kit shown in the video is for 2021 and newer Nissan Rogue (as long as your Rogue is the same look as mine).

Adhesive lines are definitely present due to peeling back film but with a white vehicle, you won’t see it.

Is there a way to prevent dirt from accumulating along the films exposed edges???

If there is dirt accumulating 'under' the edge, then you can use a sharp knife and cut off the extra bit that did not adhere to the car. But as far as dirt collecting at the edge of the film, that's one downside of a computer cut film. You can still buff out the dirt with some polisher or wax but the edge can collect some dirt.
