Smart little windows are those mate. That adhesive is terrible stuff to squeeze out of the tubes. Me and my son did one with a hand gun and even after it had been on a radiator for hours it was still hard going. We ended up buying a air powered adhesive gun for £20 and borrowed a small compressor, made it so much easier.

My caravan windows from a well known auction site weren't drilled in the right places however I fitted one successfully. Went to do the 2nd; again not drilled in the right places! But low and behold, I drilled right through to the outside! Bit of good fun, this van conversion lark! Ha Ha. Easy fix though. Phew!

They are very nice Windows and I did look at the price of them previously, a bit rich for my budget camper and also bigger than I need though. I did however order one of the smaller rubber mounted non opening windows. Nice to people speak to on the phone and delivered quickly as well.

At 2mins 'these were'nt cheap, 300 for the pair', I was surprised that they are that inexpensive, very reasonable indeed I'd say, especially for the pair, unless you meant 300 each, then they'd be too pricey. Also you need an Awning rail and graphics on the side. The Awning rail isn't tough or expensive. Also the graphics aren't too tough either. Will look forward to seeing Mel doing his thing with these. Actually Mel, you could have a custom graphic made up for your chanel that followers could buy as a tribute to their diy camper guru. I'd be up for one!

Job well done I'd say. You could leave the isolation on the panels and stick Velcro on the isolated side like I told you in the last video. In the other hand, nice little curtains on a spiral cord let oxigen in and light out. I would be opting for the last one. Good and cheers mate🍷😄🍻

Only just found your channel Mel. Excellent job with the windows mate..yer the height of that little window is just right mate. It would have been too low. So DVLA says it has to have 2 windows..didn’t know that. Is that 2 per side. I Wanted to go stealth .Regards Jim

May I make a suggestion on positioning your windows! Place an earth magnet on the panel from either side then touch the opposite side with a nail until you find the magnet.

Hi Mel, I have just watched your video. as I am going to fit windows in my van, the windows I am fitting come from a company called Camper-Glass, and they look identicle to yours, but they insist that the opening section has to be to the front of the van not the rear, so now I am confused,and will re-check with them before hand, anyway great video and hope all is well.

Top job Mel! Checking the window and holding it up against the van before cutting a hole is the best advice! I've had windows turn up and the matrix finished way too early and paintwork on the van was showing, also check for minor damages too.

Yes you could but not everyone has one of them but most people can get there hands on a jigsaw and the point of my channel is to show people that they don’t need special tools or a flash workshop to build there dream van 👍

Looks Great Mel! Yeah add's a lot of light back there, and air flow. It's on my list of add on's. I just picked up 3 10' pieces of aluminum unistrut for my roof rack. Yeah was more costly but the difference of 25lb roof rack vs 61 lbs roof rack swayed me. Just need some cedar boards to finish it off. I am making it mainly so I can use it for my awning lol.
