Great video my man! One thing to note, I only ended up having to loosen the horizontal bolt (at the 8:10 mark) on the control arm and it lowered just enough to slide the bar out. Thankfully this was the case, because those in CV mounts were locked in tight and I couldn't get my tools on it very good to break it loose.

Have you had any squeaking from where the bar goes in the bushing? I installed a one of these on my 2009 ex coupe and after about 6 months it started squeaking when I went over things like speed bumps. I did use the supplied grease.
@GarageBuiltHondas6 жыл бұрын
It can happen. It's probably dried out. I'd remove it, clean it then lube it up again and put quite a bit of lithium grease.

This kit installation works the same on Acura Ilx, right? looking to pick this up and get it installed.

Hey I know this is a old video but I recently upgraded my sway bars on my 13 si sedan with both Eibach sways bars. Following this video of-course. After installing I’ve been getting a clunk from my front driver side. Lifted the car up and removed the wheel come to notice the sway bar was sitting really close to the lower control (about 1mm if I’d have to guess) I did notice as I was installing the sway bar but didn’t think anything of it. Do you remember if the sway bar position if it’s suppose to be real close to the control arm? Car is lowered on BC racing full coils. Thanks in advance and any advice will be appreciated.
@GarageBuiltHondas7 жыл бұрын
+Dennis N I don't remember it being that close at all, it seemed to fit like the OEM one did. The owner never had an issue with a clunking noise. Make sure both end links are tightened completely.
@JeanPhilippeChaput5 жыл бұрын
Hey Dennis, I know we’re a year later but jsyk I’ve been getting that clunk too since installing coilovers. I think it has to do with end link positioning rather than the sway bar. I’m going back to the oem sway in front.

hi jon! do you have video like this for 8th gen civic? Thanks in advance
@GarageBuiltHondas8 жыл бұрын
I don't, I would be it is pretty much the same process. The cars have almost identical suspension setups and engines so it should be very similar if not just a few small changes.

By any chance what's the name of the tool you using to hold the Allen wrench?
@GarageBuiltHondas9 жыл бұрын
The Allen head sockets? The one that attaches to the end of the ratchet?
@LifeWithDJALLDAY9 жыл бұрын
+Jon Widmer yeah the one that was holding it while you use the wretch to get the nut off
@GarageBuiltHondas9 жыл бұрын
+LifeWith D&J That's them, also called hex head sockets. You can buy them pretty much anywhere, a lot easier to use than Allen wrenches!

We set them to firm, the owner really liked it. He said he could feel a noticeable difference in how it felt.

Did you need a front wheel alignment after dropping the subframe? A lot of guys who've done this are saying its necessary
@GarageBuiltHondas7 жыл бұрын
+Daniel Lang The owner of this car didn't get it aligned after. He did after the lowering springs install but not after this. He didn't have any problems with alignment or premature tire wear after I performed this installed for him.

Didn't the 2014-2015 Coupe Si have a 20mm Rear sway bar? I was planning on buying the 32mm front from eibach and going with the progressive 24mm rear.
@GarageBuiltHondas7 жыл бұрын
James Chapman It might, I'm not sure. This car is a 13 model. The 14-15 may have gotten a slightly larger bar.

Hi, Gotta say love your Videos big fan! Anyway, I make compilation videos where I take clips from other videos add some information and then play music over them. I was just wondering if I could have your permission to use 20 seconds max of this video. Obviously, the link will be in the description and all credit will be rewarded to you.

I dont get it. The civic already had factory anti roll bars what was the point of changing them? Was it just purely cosmetic? Or did that actually help the suspension out?
@GarageBuiltHondas6 жыл бұрын
+Jesus Marquez Slightly larger bars reduce body roll even more due to the increased diameter. It would suck as a cosmetic mod, can't see them for sh*t. Lol
